"I was put in touch with a technician named Tom. He was able to help me diagnose the issue with the bake igniter in my gas oven, during a remote video call. Tom sent me a link for the replacement part and explained how to install it. He even gave me a helpful tip for how to clean my oven’s glass window. I was able to replace the part easily using Tom’s instructions. I am very satisfied with the repair and with the help I got from Tom."

"The door gaskets were surprisingly expensive (the repairman ran the numbers twice to be sure he hadn't made a mistake!!), but the repair was definitely worth it. HIs work was careful, neat and very professional. I'm very pleased."

Customers say: Super punctual

"Time block was 10am-2pm Tuesday, Jeff called at 1:50 or so to say he was on his way. He arrived at 2:15 and got right to work. His initial thought was a frozen condenser but soon found that the evaporator motor was fried. He did not have one on his truck so he offered to order one, about a two week turn around, a long time for a family of five to be without refrigeration. He told me of a place near to our house that stocks that motor and if I was willing to go buy the motor, he would squeeze me in at the end of his day that Friday, still long but better. He then took the time to show me how to install the motor. The reader digest version is that I went out and bought it that afternoon, installed it that evening and have cold food and ice today. In the process he saved me over $150.00 and gave me an education. I will be using them again and feel confident in recommending."

"Called and made an appointment. The plumber, Lee, showed up as scheduled. We discovered that the shut-off valve for the water to our condo unit was in another owner's unit. That owner was not home, so we had to reschedule the appointment.
I rescheduled the appointment and was told the plumber would arrive at 8:00 a.m., the first appointment for the day. On the day, the plumber did not show up at 8:00. I ended up calling to see why the plumber had not arrived. I was told that another plumber was out that day, which had thrown the schedule off. (I realize these things happen. I do wish they had called to tell me there would be a delay as the water had been shut off for three units and was keeping another unit owner--in whose unit the main shut off valve was--from going to work.)
When Lee arrived, he apologized for the delay. He replaced the shut-off valve and installed the new fill valve, which stopped the toilet from running. He also lowered the fill water level to save water. Lee cleaned up any mess made by the work and was clear at explaining what had been done and about how to use the shut-off valve in a way that could help it last longer (e.g. not turning it too far or too tightly when turning it off.) Lee explained that I was being charged for the 15 minutes from the first call (when we could not shut off the main water line to our unit) plus labor and parts for this work. (There was an apprentice with Lee both times who was very friendly and professional.)
A few hours after Lee left, the toilet began running again. I could not get it to stop, so I called and got an appointment for a time when I could be home a few days later. For this third visit, Jeff was the plumber. He replaced an O-seal on the flush valve with an extra I had on hand. He also removed some debris from the toilet tank that he thought might be interfering with the seal. He also adjusted the water fill level, which added more pressure to the flush valve, which stopped the toilet from running. He did not charge us for this call, since he was adjusting work done earlier.
Though it was a bit convoluted, we still appreciate the work done. We appreciated the idea of using less water with each flush, and appreciated the "learning" that the water needs to be a certain level to keep the flush valve from running.
Lynn, the receptionist with whom I dealt through all of this was friendly and helpful.

"They did a very nice job and were very careful. Like everyone else, they have a minimum charge of one billable hour. But unlike most, they let us use the remainder of the first hour (it only took a few minutes to remove the old gas range and cap the line) for the installation of the new appliances several weeks later. The price got up there a bit, only because it turned out to be time consuming to run in new gas line needed to fit the modern range."

Gas Grill Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, professional services typically include venting, gas line installation, and necessary permits.

Gas grill installation costs around $540 on average, not including the price of the actual grill, and most homeowners pay between $120 and $1,400. This total will go toward laying down a new gas line, connecting it to your existing gas system, pressure testing the line, and connecting it to your grill. Your total project price will depend on the length of the gas line, whether or not the line needs to be installed underground, and the cost of the permits in your area.

The cost of a gas grill burner ranges from $10 to $100 or more, depending on the brand. If you’re replacing one burner, consider replacing all the burners simultaneously. Although it will cost more upfront, it will save you the hassle of replacing a burner every few months, and your grill will cook more evenly and efficiently.

Depending on the appliance and labor requirements, costs range from $150 to $500.

Local codes often mandate specific fittings, permits, and vent considerations for permitted function and safety, which are enforced by professionals.
