His initial thought was a frozen condenser but soon found that the evaporator motor was fried. He did not have one on his truck so he offered to order one, about a two week turn around, a long time for a family of five to be without refrigeration. He told me of a place near to our house that stocks that motor and if I was willing to go buy the motor, he would squeeze me in at the end of his day that Friday, still long but better. He then took the time to show me how to install the motor. The reader digest version is that I went out and bought it that afternoon, installed it that evening and have cold food and ice today. In the process he saved me over $150.00 and gave me an education. I will be using them again and feel confident in recommending."

"I had an old water heater (was in the house when I moved in about 20 years ago) and it started to leak. After shutting off the water to the water heater, I did a little Angie's List research to find a company to do the replacement. I called a couple and decided to use Randy Lane, based on cost and my interaction with them, which I felt was cordial and helpful, and made an appointment.
The service person arrived on time on the day of the appointment and went to work. He disconnected the old heater and hauled it out. The new heater was brought in and he did the needed plumbing work to connect the water and also made the natural gas connections. He fired up the unit and briefed me on the new unit - how to turn-off the water and gas, if needed, temperature, etc.
The area was left in the same condition as when he arrived.

"Wade did a great job. Wade called and asked if he could come 1 hour earlier than scheduled. I was at work, but agreed to meet him 1/2 hour before my appt time. he arrived right on time. He needed a valve for the waterline and ran out to get one...didn't charge for that time. I was charged for 1 1/2 hours @$120/hour plus parts. I used the Angie's list coupon for an addt'l 10% off including parts for a final total of $205.20."
