We are a locally owned business since 1983. We have 24 hour service for all your heating and cooling needs. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover!! Additional DBA - Green Heating & Air Conditioning Inc, Steve.

"We had our furnace serviced 11/2019. Received a bill finally 4/2020. Our furnace is only 3 years old, and the tech informed us that it could be warranty work. The tech was pleasant and worked quickly - was in and out of our house within 15 minutes. He also gave us an estimate of $50-60. Imagine my surprise when a bill arrived for $120. I called and spoke with Steve, who informed me that drive time to & from is considered labor. And their hourly labor rate is $100-120. We were charged the higher end for some minor cleaning. Not even replacing parts. In Steve’s own words, “your heater seems to be working fine now. This price seems fair.” It would be if he had charged accurately for the technician working instead of driving or sitting in the driveway. Beware of price gouging: 15 minutes of work for $120.00 charge."

"Chris was very easy to contact and continued to communicate up to the installation date. Once he came, he was on time and the whole thing went smoothly. Additionally, I was thrilled by the affordable charge for his work. I would recommend Chris and Cozik Plumbing to anyone looking for plumbing services!"

Gas Leak Repair questions, answered by experts

Installing a gas line is no simple task. From start to finish, you’re looking at anywhere from six to 12 weeks to acquire the correct permits, dig a trench, and connect your appliances. Naturally, the longer the gas line, the longer it will take to complete. If your plumber needs to hire additional contractors to dig trenches and navigate around or remove obstacles, this could put you at the longer end of the timeframe.

Once the land is prepped and licenses acquired, installing the actual line may only take a few days to a few weeks, weather permitting.

When hiring a plumber to install or repair gas pipes, consider asking them the following questions:

  • Do you have insurance and a professional license to do the job?

  • How long will the project take to complete?

  • Will I need to hire additional professionals for excavation or landscaping?

  • Do you have references from previous clients?

  • Do you belong to any relevant trade associations?

While some building codes allow galvanized pipe for natural gas, it shouldn’t be used for propane. Propane can cause the pipe to wear down, leading to dangerous leaks. Instead of galvanized piping for propane, you should consider coated copper, black iron, or corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST). For underground propane line installation, you can use polyethylene (PE).

In most cases, a gas stove should be installed by a licensed plumber. Connecting gas appliances carries many risks, chief among them a fatal gas leak. If your home is already set up with the proper gas hookups, you may be able to DIY the installation (or save money by hiring a local handyperson or basic appliance installer near you rather than a plumber). If you’re ever in doubt, however, we recommend going with a professional master plumber.

No, most homeowners don't have the skills and experience required to convert their electric stove to gas on their own. You must hire an electrician and a licensed gas plumber for the conversion. This job requires swapping out the existing 240-volt outlet for a 110-volt outlet and may also involve installing or extending an existing gas line.
