The owner, Paul Link performed all our services in a timely and professional manner without charging us an unrealistic fee. We could not be more satisfied.

This is been the third time I have used 1st Class plumbing. They have installed a new gas line for a fireplace, fixed my water heater and installed a pressure reducing valve, and done the tub faucet. The plumbers are very nice, courteous, and professional. They know their stuff. However, my only complaint it they aren't upfront with the costs of the jobs in some cases. During their last visit, I decided to change out the tub faucet, and specifically asked how much the part was. The plumber couldn't tell me because he didn't know, and couldn't find the part in their price book. Seeing as the part looked very inexpensive (literally like it was $8 from Menards) I told him to go ahead with the repair. He installed a new pipe for the spout and was done within an hour. Later I was charged $86 for the visit, $50 for the spout and $20 for the use of a tool required to complete the job. The bill came to $160! I was very disappointed with the charge for the tool usage, especially, and contacted Connie about the charge. Her response was that it was an expensive tool, and that they use it so they don't have to solder joints anymore so it saves the client money. Yet they are charging the clients the money I guess they're supposed to be saving. I don't charge my photography clients for use of my camera (which is much more expensive than the tool they used for the plumbing job), so I don't see why they should be charging their clients for tool usage. All-in-all, they do good work, but watch out when the bill comes.

Came out for estimate. Discussed options. Scheduled job time. Arrived on-time. Performed job. Ensured no leaks. Overall very pleased. Will use again. Fair priced.

They perform quality work and they are reasonably priced. They clean up well after themselves and are respectful of our home. They had come out on the weekend to do this work with the water heater as it was leaking into the carpet and they were responsive to this situation. We have had good luck with them.

1st Class showed up right on time and began working. As the ratings above show, his work was good. The problem was with the bill. The gas company guy said it would be a 4 hour job but 1st class was there from 8am to 430pm! Im a do-it-yourselfer so I understand how a job can run long but OUCH. So $831 later he leaves. Then the gas guys come back and say that the ground wasnt hooked up right. A call back to 1st class was met with irritation and blame. He came back to hook it up grudingly. AND then he shows up with ANOTHER bill from the electircian that he expects me to pay ($198) for installing the ground. It was sent to him by mistake instead of to me. Guess that wasnt part of the job.
I take responsibility for not getting a WRITTEN quote from a contractor but Ill never use 1st class again.

"I am sorry you were un-happy with the bill this is the 1st we have heard of it. The gas company is not the one that does this type of job and therefore should not of been giving you an estimate. We offer free estimates and would of gladly given you one. Again I apologize."

The job turned out to be a little more difficult due my houses pipes are old! But, they stood by their quoted cost for the installation! It was very professional and the finished product looks great!

The plumber came the same day we called. He found the source of water leaking into wall of downstairs bathroom. He found it was coming from upstairs toilet that became loose. He fixed it and the leak stopped. He worked quickly, was courteous and professional. A fair price was charged. Will definitely use 1st Class Plumbing and heating again.

They installed their on-demand water softener but did not test water to determine hardness setting and did not
explain how much water to add to tank. They set softener to recharge every day and it ended up using
120 lbs of salt first month. Also did not install overflow tube. Called them back after first month and they
came out next day and set the regeneration time to 7 days and explained how much water to add to tank.
It now runs fine and uses very little salt. They spent over an hour trying to replace top element in water heater and then gave up.
They did replace the bottom element.

The first call I made was to have piping and the sump basket cover replaced for the sump basket and pump in my basement. This job was done well. While the plumber was over I asked him a few questions about other things including the basement water trap and water softener. I was worried the water trap drain wasn't draining very efficiently and he cleaned it out quickly with no additional charge, and it now flows better. The water softener I had him look at because we had just purchased the home and it seemed to me that the softener was not working properly. He spent 20 minutes looking at it and concluded that it was in fact non-operational. Because of the age of the softener he recommended replacing it, so I madean appointment to have that done the next week. Everything went smoothly and we're happy with the new softener. I would use this company again, they were very staright forward and honest and the prices given for the work were not not changed when the work was completed.

In the middle of a real estate transaction and needed to do a few fix-its for the new buyers. One of which was fixed a leaky water main. The quoted price was good. The personalities of the workers were quite friendly, I don't however appreciate smoking on my property and around my children. Just a little disappointed that they didn't explain that the city was going to be charging me later for shutting off the water main at the street. The work that they did seems good.

Paul's estimate was the same as the final bill. Communication with Connie was easy, accurate, and timely. Ty and Mike did the jobs quickly and professionally. They cleaned up after themselves and did an outstanding job for us on the following items: Re-install toilet after tiling raised floor ~1/2 in. Working in tight quarters they installed new fixtures on Jacuzzi. We are very please and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship.

Showed up a little late, but got the job done in under 90 minutes. Left everything clean. Very efficient, and much less expensive than having it installed through Home Depot or Lowe's.

In all cases, the plumbers were nice and polite and efficient. Especially in the first case, they didn't make me feel stupid for my attempt at a toliet repair (and being a short, young, blond woman, I'm sort of sensative to this). I had some reasonably nice guys out before from another company that didn't do much more (and it was from a big local company) than I had already done (dump chemicals, take off the trap, root around). I'm always pleased with the service from 1st Class and they are now my go-to plumbing company. When I call, I think I've had same day service all three times (even though they haven't been emergancies) with a small window of a time estimate that is accurate.
