"My furnace went out on a Sunday and Service Today made it there in a matter of a few hours. Steven has to come back with a part the next day and got it running great! I was away during the “polar vortex” and when I came home my house was warm and cozy!!!"

"They were very helpful. I decided not to do the repairs but if I decide to do it at a later time I will definitely give them a call. I only had to pay the trip charge."

"This discount seems like a good deal, but it really isn't. this $29.99 procures such minimal service that it is quite meaningless. Once you contact Dish (which you must) you realize you could have done just as well or better just going directly to their website. Satellite Country really provides very little in terms of service or discount. I found it to be a bit of a run around. This was supposed to offer a $25 visa card so it seems your initial cost will be minimal. However, the retailer insists you mail them a form (that you must wait for them to send you) and you must send them a processing fee to obtain the card you were promised. To add insult to injury you must provide it by postal money order (which of course is not free) so your $25 is reduced to $22.05 before you ever see it. I found this tedious to say the least (which I am sure works to their advantage) and many months later the envelope is still sitting on my desk waiting for me to make time to buy the money order. I will be more careful of coupons offered in the future.

"This guy was just great! He came out immediately when we called him and found that the bearings in the pump had burned up. He went and picked up the new unit for us and installed it the same day. His price was several hundred less than we paid when we had to replace it the last time and that was quite some time ago. I will definitely be calling him back if need be and I recommend his service to others."

"PROMPT, COURTEOUS, AND SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THEY HAD TO RE-ROUTE SOME PIPING FOR NEW HEATER TO FIT. THEY SPLATTERED SOLDER AROUND THE AREA, LEFT THEIR TRASH IN MY WASTE BASKET, PLUS LEFT BIG CARDBOARD BOX IN MY BASEMENT THAT I HAD TO CUT DOWN & REMOVE MYSELF. THE LOCAL HOME IMPROVEMENT STORE WOULD HAVE COST MUCH LESS FOR EQUIVALENT HEATER & INSTALLATION, BUT THESE GUYS WERE FAST AND RELIABLE."
The average cost to install solar panels is around $26,600, and most homeowners pay between $4,500 and $53,000. Keep in mind that these prices don’t consider the federal investment tax credit (ITC), which can effectively reduce those costs by up to 30%. The price you can expect to pay for solar panel installation depends on the size of the system, where you live, the type and brand of panels, and the labor costs. Get price quotes from at least three solar companies in your area to find the best deal.
In most states, solar installers need to be licensed and insured as solar professionals, although some states don’t have specific requirements for installers. You can use our state licensing tool to check if an installer you’re considering hiring holds the proper licensing. No matter where you live, a member of your solar panel installation company must be a certified electrician to connect your panels to your home and the electric grid.
There are a few qualifying questions you should ask a local solar panel company before hiring them:
Will you handle permits for the installation?
Does your total price include the equipment and labor?
How long do you expect the installation process to take?
What kind of workmanship warranty do you include with your installations?
Who should I contact if I have a problem with my system after installation?
Do you install the panels or outsource the work to third parties?
Will you file for solar incentives for me?
In most cases, yes, solar panels are well worth the investment. Going solar with your home’s energy is expensive, but, in most states, the panels will pay for themselves by reducing your electric bills. Solar panels don’t produce greenhouse gasses or other pollutants, meaning you can feel good about using this renewable energy source to power your home. Plus, installing solar panels can boost your home value, helping your profit off your next home sale.
Yes, solar panel installation will require permits. The required permits will depend on where you live, as some states and cities have solar-specific permits, while others only require electrical permits to connect to the grid. In either case, it’s best to hire a reputable solar installer in your area, as a representative should handle all of the necessary permitting for you and will include the cost of the permits in your initial solar estimate.
