"Shane, the plumber, cleared the drain clog. He was friendly, on time, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. Shane estimated it would take an hour and it took only about half an hour. I was then charged a ridiculous $830. I feel I was way overcharged and am not happy with this. I do not recommend Dean's Home Services."

"As a person in the plumbing trades both new construction and service work I have come to appreciate the skills of someone who does a craft full time and is encouraged to develop skills to make it “their” full time occupation and career. Drain cleaning is part of maintaining a plumbing system. It is a craft different than installing and repairing plumbing but it is just as important to do it correctly. The other values in McDonough’s services are several having the equipment and personnel trained and available is paramount to this no matter how big a job has gotten they have never stopped until it was completed! The other feature that is not fully understood by many is that it is always best to use someone that has only one purpose in mind and that is to get the drain cleaned and inspected and has no reason to up sell you on some repairs or replacement that you don’t need. That why we use them as a plumbing company and recommend them to our valued clients. "The dishwasher wiring that Randy's installed in my home fried out 6 months after they did the work, almost causing a fire in my home. Luckily the circuit breaker enabled to cut power. In the doing the work, Randy's said my Bosch dishwasher had to be hardwired vs. how Bosch sent from the factory. Randy's rewired the Bosch wire box which did not work after they left and they had to come back out because the box was "arcing" and causing the circuit breaker to enact. This should have raised alarms with Randy's but no. Eventually the box melted down, which I did not initially know, causing us to purchase a new dishwasher only to find out by Warners Stellian that the box was fried. Randy's did engage in discussions on the topic but accepted no accountability, initially denying they even did the work. After pressing the issue they finally admitted to rewiring the box but said they can't accept accountability because it was provided by them. When pressed on why they would rewire a Bosch electrical box they would never support vs. installing their own box - they had no answer and said it was a good question. They admitted they should have probably installed their own box and not touched the Bosch box but would still not accept any accountability for their poor workmanship. I was glad to see Randy's admit they should approach these situations differently in the future but very disappointed they would not admit to fault here or warranty the work. Randy's did not act in good faith and I would not use them again. For reference, they were at my house for 4 hours and I was charged $2700 for the work (multiple small projects). They are one of the most expensive outfits you can hire and they claim you get what you pay for. Apparently I paid for a near fire in my house and a $1500 dishwasher opportunity. Disappointed."

"He brought an assistant who was the driver and the main issue was how many steps he would have to take to get to my property and they would not remove shoes. I say this to illustrate the age issue of Gary accepting this work...he is very old..I am 90 yrs and consider myself to be pretty old, but Gary is Really old and he indicated that he fixed the problem..mostly by using Plumber's Putty around the base. No mention of the ring being a problem..which was only three years old, the age of the toilet. The toilet started wobbling again two days later and the awful looking brown plumber's putty was seeping out looking just terrible!!! I have a nice bathroom with a walk in shower, new toilet and to have this brown creepy stuff coming out of the toilet base is too terrible AND I paid him $280.00 for this!! I cannot dispute this charge as he requested a check to avoid having to pay the 3% charge by the credit card company so I wrote a check ..not knowing this putty was going to be on the floor next to the toilet ..almost before he could cash the check!! I feel that I was robbed and I think calling Angie was the biggest mistake!! Angie should be aware of the credentials and qualifications of the persons coming into our homes to prevent this charade and robbery of my $280.00. I don't get any satisfaction in knowing that all Angie can do for me is table him with a bad review. Mr. Lindman offered to come back so I asked him what more he would do if coming back and he replied something that was going to take a lot of work. I did not understand what that was. He accused me of yelling at he so I gave him wan example of a real yell to let him know I wasn't yelling and that started him off. He cursed at me and the call ended."
