"Review by Bob D. Ypsilanti Project: Convert hybrid pool to vinyl liner Very professional from the office staff to the workers in the field. Calls and/or emails answered either immediately or within 24 hours. This was not an easy job and many other pool company's did not even want to deal with it. I would definitely hire this company again"

"We were originally scheduled for an early December job, but a slot opened and we were inserted two months earlier. Doug and his crew showed up early in the morning on the first day to drain the pool and begin tearing down the safety fence, removing accessories and making way for the machinery to gain access to the pool area. Once everything was cleared, a bobcat and a backhoe were used to remove the concrete and break up the marcite as necessary to meet code. All waste and concrete remnants were hauled away. Day two involved filling the pool after approval by the town inspector, then putting down topsoil and seeding the area. The entire job was completed in two days. Now, three weeks later, the seed is sprouting with an expectation that the lawn will establish well next spring. All in all, it seems that Pool Busters did a great job! The final proof will be seeing how much the pool area settles after the winter season. So far, so good after a couple of saturating rains."

"After putting off our pool refinishing for many years, for fear of losing a month of Michiganâ s very short swimming season, we contacted Prestige just in time. They were able to start our project in April and a crew was on site within days. I had never guessed what an arduous task removing and replacing the coping and tile would be. Not to mention the craftsmanship involved with applying new Marcite. In previous years, weâ d been tempted to try to paint the Marcite ourselves. So glad we didnâ t. Thereâ s a real craft to this and the Prestige crew are master craftsmen. The crew was very respectful of our house and our time. When they needed access to an extra electrical outlet in our sun room, the men wouldnâ t enter with their work boots on, to avoid dirtying the floor. They warned me when entering the yard when our new puppy was outside. And were always accommodating when we needed them to move their work truck. When they arrived for the first day, they removed the cover and did a partial reopening. One less thing for me to worry about. One thing about scheduling: We know we lucked into a spot at the start of the season. If youâ re planning to use Prestige, contact them as soon as you can. We documented the whole process, if youâ d like to see before, during and after photos. We highly recommend Prestige Pools!"

"Mike was awesome. Price was competitive and he squeezed us in right in the midst of all the COVID chaos! We asked to be completed by July 4th, and they were filling the pool on the 3rd! Just in time for our family gathering! The finished product is absolutely gorgeous and both Mike and all his guys were just so nice and conscientious. As the people at the tile store said, â there are a lot of crooks in the pool business, but you got one of the nicest guys!â Thanks so much, Mike!"

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

The small lines on the tape measure either indicate inches, fractions of an inch, or centimeters and millimeters. On the imperial unit side (aka the inches side), the longest lines indicate inches, followed by the next shortest lines that indicate a half-inch, and then the quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-inch. On the metric side, the lines break down meters, centimeters, and millimeters.

Consultation with the local government helps identify necessary permits, avoid project delays or legal issues, and protect project integrity.

Errors in site preparation can lead to structural failures or appear costly midway. Professionals ensure detailed, reliable home base development layouts.

ALTA/ACSM surveys are the most comprehensive type of land survey and, as such, tend to be the most expensive. These surveys have standardized guidelines and reports and are used in many kinds of real estate transactions to ensure consistent and accurate information is available for properties.

This is fairly rare, but sometimes the local government or a group like a historical society will label a tree as a landmark, or historical item. These designations almost always come with a small, on-site plaque for identification, but you should also be able to look up protected trees in your area on a city website or similar list. If the tree in question is a landmark, call your local government and ask how to proceed before making any plans.
