"Ruben and his crew arrived early, and completed the job in under an hour. They cut down three trees, and trimmed a very tall Maple. They also shredded many branches I had already trimmed from trees in my yard. They are a very coordinated, capable, and pleasant crew. I would recommend them to anyone for tree service. Thank you to Angi for recommending them for my job."

"This is a well prepared crew. I had two trees cut down and one oddly configured tree cut back and partially cut down to release my house!! They worked efficiently, safely, and the clean up was great. I certainly recommend A&J for tree service and would hire again."

"Rodney and his crew done a fabulous job with the trees working with non cooperating weather conditions which made their job which made their job harder. They also had a challenge with my small yard getting their equipment in to do the job professionally and safely which they done very creatively and professionally. The completed job cleanup was outstanding also. I would recommend this team to any Angi customers looking for a professional reliable trees service company."

"Mr. Duvall was professional, did very well with the estimate and everything was smooth with no complications. I hired Mr. Duvall twice and one of jobs he returned to finish a job. NO OTHER CONTRACTORS EVEN RETURNED AFTER BEING PAID IN FULL. Mr. Duvall is the only contractor that has been paid in full, returned and finished a job. No other contractors have done this! EVERY contract that has been paid in full has never returned to finish the work; other then Mr. Duvall. Duvall tree removal done amazing work! My neighbors love my yard, my tenant's neighbors love the yard and Mr. Duvall knows how to make a property look wonderful. I look for laborers and skill treads that I can hire often. I'd very happily hire Duvall Tree Remove for future work!!!!! Highly recommend Mr. Duvall's work and services!!!!!!"

"They answered all of our questions. The work they did on our chimney is exactly what we wanted. Looking at them to do a new metal roof. Just waiting to hear about the estimate."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Since overwatering can harm mature trees just as much as a lack of water, it’s important to know the signs of an overwatered tree. If your tree’s leaves are yellowing, wilting, or dropping leaves, it’s likely that you’re overwatering. Other common signs include rotting, fungi, soggy soil, soft or peeling bark, falling leaves, and brittle roots.

If you realize that you’ve been overwatering your mature tree, stop watering and give the soil time to dry out. Then moving forward, increase time between watering sessions.

Bradford pear trees bloom in early spring with small white flowers. They typically flower for at least two weeks. In bloom, these trees often emit a foul-smelling odor that’s often compared to rotting fish. Bradford pear trees will sometimes bloom in the fall due to drought or other stress-inducing conditions.

According to scientists at Penn State University, spotted lanternflies do not typically kill the trees and plants they feed on, but they can cause branches and segments to die off. However, they have been found to kill cultivated grapes, which can have devastating consequences for vineyard owners and regions that heavily rely on vineyards to create jobs and generate revenue. They have also killed the Ailanthu altissima, known as the tree of heaven, though this is classified as a noxious and invasive weed tree.

A tree can split because of high winds, a change in temperature, or from an infestation or tree disease. All of these factors can overlap, making a single cause difficult to pinpoint. While winter storms are some of the most common causes for a tree to split, it can also happen because of termites or rot.

When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.
