"Communication was excellent throughout the entire process from estimate to installation completion. All individuals involved were professional and knowledgeable of the equipment. "Whenever you have a need for an HVAC company, 5 star is the company to call. They are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable of their work and the equipment in question. When I had a new furnace and central air system installed they advised me on what was best for my home the size of the space being heated and or cooled. Not what they could sell me that was larger than I needed. This company is reputable and honest. Call them the next time you need any and all HVAC service. You won't be disappointed."

"This is hard to believe but the HVAC guy that installed the GeoThermal refused to repair it because it was 4 years old. I found Geothermal Specialist through HomeAdvisor, these people got on the repair in less than 24 hours after my call, but also showed me that the Modine Geothermal has a 10 year parts and labor warranty."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes, running your air conditioning unit too cold can cause condensation in the air ducts and built up moisture on the air filter, resulting in a breeding ground for mold and mildew. Mold and mildew growth can irritate those with respiratory issues, so it’s best to keep your AC running at a normal temperature.

Replacing both an AC and a furnace takes a full day on average, ranging from eight to 12 hours. The process involves removing the old units, installing the new ones, and ensuring all connections are properly made. If both systems are being replaced simultaneously, it can take longer than installing a furnace alone, so plan accordingly.

You can air condition your Arizona room by extending your home’s existing HVAC system or adding a ductless mini-split system. Arizona rooms that have full windows rather than screens only are a better choice for air conditioning—screens will let the cold air out as fast as the air conditioner can make it.

While all portable AC units will collect moisture as part of their cooling and dehumidifying process, whether and how often you need to drain them depends on what kind of unit you have and the natural humidity levels where you live. For example, if you live in a very dry area and have a self-evaporating unit, you may not need to drain your portable AC very often at all. Some units may automatically drain collected moisture out the window through their exhaust vent.

When a compressor gets overheated in central air systems or heat pumps, it can still cool your home for a while until it eventually gives out. If the compressor is chronically overheated and no one addresses the root cause, it will create an incredibly expensive problem when your entire HVAC system breaks down and stops working altogether.
