"Wonderful hardworking crew. Got out 5 trees and ground the stumps all in one day!!! Clean up was perfect! Even blew the grass with their blower back and forth so there were no trails left in the grass from dragging branches. All wood removed or put through their chipper. They raked and cleaned. Neighbors so impressed that they got a couple that came and discussed other jobs. Another neighbor asked for the wood chips and they happily delivered those down the street for her. Kind, helpful, so hard working. Definitely will use them again. Such a great company with great workers with integrity and pride in their workmanship. A blessing to us and our family. Also, 2 of the huge trees were right next to the house and once I saw how well they worked together etc I was completely at ease. They treated my home as if it were their home!! That is rare."

"Curtis and the team at TimberBeast were outstanding. They didn't just get a job done well, they exceeded what I expected in every way. TimberBeast had by far the most competitive price which was well below all of the other bids I received. Their tech-savvy follow-up, easy-to-ask questions online interface, professional demeanor, and timeliness really made a huge impact. Lastly, we were so impressed, we felt compelled to give each of the seven workers a $20 tip. We'd never experienced a company like this, which performed like a true team of professionals, who didn't swear, sit around doing nothing, or crank loud music while they were working. They were all respectful, courteous, and continually moving or cleaning, blowing or sawing something! At the end of the day, my three big dead oak trees were gone, every trace of them removed and any bruises to my yard were fixed or patched. I could not more highly recommend this company. Hats off to Curtis, Steve and the entire team at TimberBeast!"

"I would certainly recommend Independence. They did a great job trimming exactly the branches I wanted removed. They cleaned out the dead wood and were very careful not to damage the bushes below or my lawn. They were very professional and cleaned every thing up nicely. All at a very reasonable price."

"Quality service overall, people were nice, but they didn't finish in my opinion because I wanted more of the tree cut that was done. The equipment was gone by the time they came and got me for the final walk through, that was the only disappointing part."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

If you ever want to see the literal fruits of your labor, you’ll need to prune your peach trees. Without pruning, the trees may not grow or bear fruit since the nutrients will be divided among too many offshoots to provide any with enough energy to produce the peaches. Plus, if parts of the peach tree become diseased or pest-ridden, pruning can nip those problems in the bud.

There are a few general rules to follow that will help you prune your trees correctly. One of the most important rules is to prune during the correct season for the type of tree you have. Typically, pruning should be during late winter. For younger trees, you should not remove more than a ⅓ of the tree's crown when pruning. Also, remember to remove dead and diseased branches first, then proceed with pruning the rest of the tree.

Rock salt or Epsom salt can damage and kill tree roots over several weeks and can even assist in removing the tree's stump. However, you need to drill holes or cut into the stump and surface tree roots to inject them properly with the salt. Repeat the process every two weeks until the roots visibly rot away.

Pruning is an effective way to prevent a diseased branch from infecting the rest of the tree. If the infection isn’t caught early enough and the pathogen has spread to the trunk or the majority of the branches though, it is too late to prune off the affected areas and you’ll likely need to remove the tree.

Most experts recommend removing a tree that has sustained more than 25% loss in the limbs, trunk, or circumference of the bark. Doing an initial trimming of damaged and dangling branches, but then waiting a few days of monitoring to decide how much more you might need to cut can help you better assess the total damage to the tree. However, consulting a tree maintenance pro to make this determination the best course of action before removing a tree.
