"I hired HNDY to help me get my home ready to sell. I had many projects for them to tackle from fixing my fence to a deep clean. PJ is super handy and helped me with things even I didn’t think about. Jenn was a superior cleaner. They were pros and got the job done immediately because I had a short timeline. I trusted them to get it done and I’m happy I did. Because of it I was able to get top dollar for my home and it was a smooth experience. Thank you HNDY. I’ll be back."

"My house needed sprucing up for sale, and Jason clearly understood the purpose and what I needed done, made valuable suggestions, and gave me what I considered a very fair quote. He was very prompt, responsive, and he and his crew were hard-working, detail-oriented, and did an excellent job. He also spent his valuable time doing some extra things that were not included in the quote. I cannot recommend CMS Home Services enough. Oh, and my home sold within 5 days of being listed, thanks largely to the work of Jason and his guys."

"I hired A&J Contractor Services after reviewing multiple options for my parents’ desired deck. The ranch-style house now has a rear deck that spans over the bottom three bedrooms of the house itself. Angela was not only very pleasant to talk to, but also incredibly professional and courteous. The way she handled the workload and finishing the objective well within the allotted time was superb. The work was clean, professionally done, and the property of my parents was treated with the utmost respect the entire time they were on the premises. The pricing was incredibly competitive (best in the area in my personal opinion now seeing the end-goal come to fruition) and most importantly, my parents love their new space on the deck and below. Angela and her company have made a lasting impression on my family and I, and highly recommend them to anyone needing anything done around the house. 5 stars, and would give more if possible. Thank you!!"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Poor winterization habits severely damage pool construction and installation work. Failing to blow out plumbing lines before the first October freeze causes cracked pipes. Allowing pH levels to drift etches plaster surfaces and degrades vinyl liners. Furthermore, washing lawn fertilizers into the water disrupts the chemistry. You must also remove debris from your equipment after frequent MI summer storms to prevent the pumps from clogging and burning out prematurely.

Helpful?

To ensure smooth pool and spa service, start by securing local permits for any electrical, plumbing, or structural work. Check local zoning laws for property line setbacks. Because the Lansing season is short, book professionals four to six weeks in advance. Schedule your opening for late April and your closing by mid-October to avoid early freezes. Finally, check with your local water provider for any summer drought restrictions before filling.

Helpful?

A major mistake during pool and spa service in MI is waiting too long to winterize. Hard freezes arrive by late October, causing severe pipe damage. Homeowners also skip spring structural inspections, missing cracks caused by deep winter frost lines. Additionally, failing to pull permits for electrical work creates serious safety hazards. Always book contractors early, as the short season means schedules fill up fast.

Helpful?

Unforeseen expenses during pool construction and installation stem from local soil conditions and code requirements. Hauling away heavy Lansing clay soil adds disposal fees. High groundwater tables near the Grand River demand extra dewatering efforts. You also face mandatory expenses for building permits, multiple inspections, and required safety fencing. Furthermore, restoring your lawn and upgrading your electrical panel to handle new pumps and heaters increases your final bill.

Helpful?

Completing pool construction and installation maximizes your short outdoor season. A private pool offers immediate relief from high humidity and hot Lansing summers without the hassle of crowded public facilities. Adding a heater extends your swimming time through the spring and fall shoulder seasons. This upgrade anchors broader backyard improvements, creating a functional, private outdoor living space for family gatherings after long, restrictive winters.
