"Hired CMS to paint walls in several rooms in my house including stairwell with high ceilings. The quote was at the low end of the range of quotes I received. They were willing to accommodate my schedule. project was completed ahead of schedule, under the quoted price. Jason was very easy to work with and had great customer service that exceeded my expectations.. Paint was done extremely well, and no spills on the stained trim and hardwood floors, nothing on the ceiling. He was very careful and didnâ t even leave a scratch. I am very satisfied with the job."

"I hired A&J Contractor Services after reviewing multiple options for my parents’ desired deck. The ranch-style house now has a rear deck that spans over the bottom three bedrooms of the house itself. Angela was not only very pleasant to talk to, but also incredibly professional and courteous. The way she handled the workload and finishing the objective well within the allotted time was superb. The work was clean, professionally done, and the property of my parents was treated with the utmost respect the entire time they were on the premises. The pricing was incredibly competitive (best in the area in my personal opinion now seeing the end-goal come to fruition) and most importantly, my parents love their new space on the deck and below. Angela and her company have made a lasting impression on my family and I, and highly recommend them to anyone needing anything done around the house. 5 stars, and would give more if possible. Thank you!!"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Unforeseen expenses during pool construction and installation stem from local soil conditions and code requirements. Hauling away heavy Lansing clay soil adds disposal fees. High groundwater tables near the Grand River demand extra dewatering efforts. You also face mandatory expenses for building permits, multiple inspections, and required safety fencing. Furthermore, restoring your lawn and upgrading your electrical panel to handle new pumps and heaters increases your final bill.

Helpful?

To ensure smooth pool and spa service, start by securing local permits for any electrical, plumbing, or structural work. Check local zoning laws for property line setbacks. Because the Lansing season is short, book professionals four to six weeks in advance. Schedule your opening for late April and your closing by mid-October to avoid early freezes. Finally, check with your local water provider for any summer drought restrictions before filling.

Helpful?

Preparing for pool construction and installation means checking your existing utilities. You must contact MISS DIG to mark underground gas, electric, and water lines before digging begins. In older Lansing neighborhoods, excavation exposes aging sewer laterals. You also need a dedicated electrical circuit, which requires a panel upgrade in older homes. Finally, check your water supply, as connecting a new fill line alters home water pressure.

Helpful?

Unexpected factors during pool and spa service stem from winter weather. Spring openings reveal hidden freeze damage in pipes or pump housings. Lansing homeowners also encounter concrete heaving around decks due to deep frost lines. Other common surprises include mandatory electrical upgrades for older panels, required permit fees, and large municipal water bills if a full refill is necessary after a major repair.

Helpful?

Begin your pool and spa service by scheduling a comprehensive pre-season inspection to check for winter damage. You must verify that your fencing and gate latches meet local safety codes. Next, establish a baseline water chemistry profile, as Lansing municipal water has specific mineral levels. Finally, confirm the permit history with local authorities to ensure all previous electrical and plumbing work meets current safety standards.
