After that meeting, there were several back and forth calls to work out details (colors, railing, steps, lighting, etc). Jon, who I believe is now taking over the business, invited us to their office to view the different decking options. I was a little leary of the Evolve decking material, but I liked the colors offered. A friend of mine had a deck built by Rock in 2005. Their deck looks great! She said she never has to do anything to it. That convinced me to try them. At the display, John showed us the difference between the wood, composite and the Evolve Plastic. We were convinced we wanted to go with the Evolve. It has a nice grain texture designed into it, I liked the color options and it is guaranteed not to warp or fade. And I'm all for recycled products! I wish we could give Jon and this company an A== We chose our color, set up a start date and gave Jon a downpayment. He had the products delivered before the job start. On the start date, they were here bright and early. (two of them) They got to work right away and they wroked all day until the sunset!!! This continued for the next two days. They completed the deck, railing, lighting and Gazebo in 3 days!! The lighting was a little bit of a challenge for Jon, because the post caps I found elsewhere were stained glass with copper art on top to match the wrought iron railing I bought with moose, deer and ducks. the post caps were not intended for lighting, but Jon figured out a way to install the caps with lowvoltage lighting and get them installed without a wire in sight!! He did the same with the heavy iron railing. we worked out a way to install them and all is good and they look beautiful!! They also put together a gazebo I bought that took one of them most of the day, but the end result was a beautiful gazebo which they put on the deck. They did a great job on it. We hired an electrician to come and install an additional switch on the inside wall to turn the deck lighting on and off. Jon and his helper ( I wish I could remember his name - I think it was Dominique??) did and amazing job! They showed up, worked hard, were incredibly professional and built a great deck. We are planning on another deck this fall and they are the only ones we are considering to do it. I highly recommend this company. Especially if you value good, honest, hardworking professionals, which are hard to find nowadays. I really wouldn't use anyone else! Jon was easy to work with and determined to figure out a way to get things done for us. BRAVO to this young man and a great company he is building I wish I could have downloaded a picture or two, because the deck really is beautiful and well built. He drove 40 miles to get to our house, but did not charge extra. The quoted price was a flat-rate fee for chimney cleaning, but he actually provided much more. He identified a missing weight on the fireplace flue and rather than sell us something expensive, helped us fix it inexpensively. He identified some cracks in the fireplace masonry, but we discussed it and he felt like it was something I could easily fix myself, so gave me instructions on the proper materials to buy. He also instructed us in the use of the fireplace and stove and gave us several very clever tips on reversing a downdraft in the chimney, to how to handle the ash pit. He inspected the chimney caps, but advised us that it would be more logical to wait for replacement of the caps until our furnace was replaced, as a liner kit would have to be installed to bring us up to code and that included a cap, so putting a new one in now would be a waste of money. The other two caps he advised us to wait until next year. This wealth of logical, practical advice was much appreciated. As a final courtesy, he even adjusted our screen door on the way out, as it was not closing properly. Leaking continued after since this wasn't the problem at all. Waisted $1600 to have a patched roof that doesn't look good. After leaking again, they came back (after not returning calls for a while) and said they could repaint the ceiling and couldn't do anything bc the work wasn't...

The bathroom started leaking after a month. They came out right away. They said a nail came through and they would caulk it. The following summer my son looked at the roof and said the nails were popping up. Also, I had a company remodeling my family room. He noticed my chimney didn't have...

"I had service performed 7 days ago on March 30th to remove/prevent birds from entering my dryer vents. The service ended up being different (less) than what was initially estimated. I contacted Michigan Wildlife Solutions the same day for the difference as I had already paid half of the estimate to get started. I was told I would be contacted by the office manager. On Friday of the same week, I called back because I had not received the call from the office manager nor had I gotten a refund. At that time, I also noticed that my credit card had been charged for the balance of the original estimate even though a second payment had not been authorized. When I called Michigan Wildlife Solutions, I was told that the balance is automatically charged after the work is completed. This was totally inconsistent with the electronic invoice I received that indicated a pay by date for the balance. In fact, I also received a mailed invoice requesting the balance to be paid, not indicating that I was already charged for the balance. I waited until Wednesday (4/6) to call back as I wanted to be patient and allow the process to happen. However, after 5 business days, I still have not heard from the office manager who was supposed to be in touch a week ago. I called back on 4/8 because at this point, I am NOT getting the service and respect as a customer that I deserve. I was given the office manager’s direct phone number (the email communications give a different number that says is for the office manager). I called Brooke-the office manager and left a voicemail message. Three hours later, I have not received a call back so I called again and was sent to voicemail. As there are several other neighbors in my subdivision that have the same bird issue, I would NEVER use this business again nor would I EVER refer a neighbor to use Michigan Wildlife Solutions. If I do not hear back from someone by the end of the business day today, I will be contacting an attorney to get me the refund that I am entitled to for work that has not been completed because it was not needed."

"We hired Mr. Barnett to fix a steep driveway. He and his crew were excellent! They were very detail minded and even did a few 'extras' that they thought would help us out. The crew was knowledgeable and friendly. They explained everything as they did the work. They did all of this at a great price. I would HIGHLY recommend them!!"

"Shawn arrived early for the appointment to clean and inspect the chimney. He was supposed to return a week later to make the repairs. He didn't call and didn't show. We tried numerous times to call and email with no reply (one of the phone numbers is disconnected, the other goes to an automated message). Our check has been cashed for the cleaning but at this point we don't really trust that is was done. We are looking for a new company to clean and fix the chimney."

FAQs for chimney cap service projects in Eaton Rapids, MI
Chimney caps may be installed by a few different professionals, including a chimney sweep or a mason that specializes in fireplaces and chimneys. A gas fireplace technician is the best person to install a chimney cap on a gas log fireplace vent to be sure the cap is appropriate for the application.
A chimney cap costs about $300 on average. The prices range from about $75 to $1,000, depending on the material, size, any repairs needed, and if your chimney cap requires custom fabrication. Chimney caps are usually made from galvanized steel, copper, or stainless steel. Additional costs may include hiring a chimney sweep to clean the chimney before a cap is installed.
Help reduce energy bills by helping regulate your home’s temperature
Typically, a chimney cap will last from three to 25 years. This wide range is due to variables like climate, the material the cap is made from, and how often you use your fireplace. Regular inspections and maintenance can help extend the life of your chimney cap.
The best style of chimney cap for a brick chimney is one that fits tightly around the brick top of the chimney. The cap should have a screen to fully enclose it to keep animals out. The best materials include stainless steel, copper, or aluminum that fit tightly or are custom fabricated for a perfect fit on your chimney.
