"The best company. Ever. It started out as a simple clean and inspect. The pellet stove was here when we bought the house almost 2 years ago and the previous owners didn’t say anything about any problems. But when Eric Butts from CJW & Associates went to sweep the ductwork, it turned out that it wasn’t ducted properly at all. This was a huge fire hazard in an old log home! We had plenty of other home projects on the horizon so there wasn’t much wiggle room in the budget. Chuck Weber and Eric presented us with several options and were mindful of our budget. After they removed the old prefab fireplace and ductwork (all the way through the second-floor roof), we had a couple of tremendous storms. But the covering that Eric had installed held! We didn’t get a single drop of water. Ultimately, Erik and Devin rebuilt the entire fireplace area with new ductwork and a new highly-reinforced wall with beautiful hand laid dry stack ledgestone. Then they went a step above and beyond and helped hang a stunning slate wall fountain. The finished project looks like something right out of a design magazine. This is, by far, one of the best companies with which we have ever worked. Everyone with whom we interacted was friendly, professional, helpful, and creative. CJW & Associates turned what could have been a homeowner’s nightmare into an amazing reality."

Customers say: Quality work

"Jim is very easy to work with. Jim repaired some of the brick paving where I had some water accumulation issue and extended the brick paving and did a good job. He also replaced the front steps with bricks where I had broken concrete bricks and did a great job. The only issue I have is that he takes long long time to complete each task which is an inconvenience for me but eventually he finishes those and not very disciplined to come back to finish as he promises. I am still waiting for one more project to finish which he has not started yet."

FAQs for fire pit installation projects in Byron, MI

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
