Chris and the team were exceptional. The city marked slabs that would require fixing or replacing so I contacted Ace Mudjacking. Chris came out right away and took a look, gave me an estimate and said he could do it right away. No payment until the completed work would pass inspection. Ace Mudjacking saved me a ton of money, and Chris is just the nicest man. I highly recommend this company

The job was performed perfectly, and on time. Andrew was very professional with his estimate and his communication as we went through the process. I would definitely hire them again & recommend them to all of my friends and family.

Great job! Mike and Marty did their work professionally and quickly. They called ahead and arrived right on time. They were very polite and helpful, explaining the process. The work was done quickly, the results were as good as we'd hoped, and they explained the warranty clearly before leaving - but not before they'd cleaned up the area. I would definitely use them again (but I hope I don't have to)

Their team is very professional and responsive. The give warranty for 5 years. I noticed the concrete slabs had settled again a couple of inches after a year. I called them and they came redid the job with no questions asked.

Because of the hard winter the driveway concrete slabs became uneven and leaned towards our home. Because the ground was frozen whenever it rained the water poured into our basement from under the door step and under the basement window sill. A friend who is a home insector gave us Foundation Systems of Michigan phone number. In the meantime, we joined Angie's List to find out for ourselves. That's when we decided to make the appointment. Eric (polyLEVEL specialist) came to our home and walked us through the process of leveling the driveway. He also checked our basement for cracks in the foundation. I cannot say enough about the professional attitude. Dale and Blake leveled the driveway slabs and sealed a seam where the slabs and house join. Eric, Dale and Blake take pride in their jobs and are very educated about the job they perform. Dale performed a job pre walk-thru and post walk-thru. He also suggested that I could watch them do the work! It took about two hours. They cleaned up the driveway. After the job was finished I was told if there were any questions or issues to call. I would definitely recommended this company

My home contains a kitchen nook (an addition to the house 30+ years ago). The nook's footing/foundation was set incorrectly, and it was visibly sinking, pulling away from the house and allowing water to infiltrate. We met with Jeff Weaver last year to review the issue. We weren't sure of which direction to go -- tear it down, redo the footing, or jack it up and make it level. He was very knowledgeable and thorough with his assessment, but we couldn't decide if it was worth the cost. After meeting with other contractors, gaining more knowledge, and weighing our options for nearly a year, we called Jeff again. As with our first appointment, he was prompt to arrive and patiently addressed all of our concerns without hesitation. He suggested that 5 piers would be best to level and stabilize the area. FSM offers financing at a decent rate, which is helpful for us as new homeowners with multiple projects in flight. Jeff was able to contact the creditors during our appointment; I received approval and took the next available date (about one month later). The crew arrived a little after 8am and finished sometime around 1pm. The 'team leader' walked me through an evaluation of the structure, the work, and their expectations for the project. He told me exactly what they would be doing and how. I was invited to watch during key moments of the process (the fitting of the piers, lifting the structure, etc). They answered all of my questions and seemed excited about their work. We learned the nook's footing was only 12" (as opposed to the 42" depth expected of a proper footing)! We were warned by Jeff that the procedure can sometimes cause undue stress to the frame, roof, windows, etc. We suffered only internal damage -- buckling paint that can easily be repaired. The team had to tear up the concrete around the structure in order to install the piers. When the installation was complete, they repaired the concrete and we did a post-inspection. All in all, it was a good experience. Although pricey, I think the method FSM used to stabilize the addition was our best option for preserving the space

The leveling process was fantastic. The sales persons spent an hour using a laser level to determine the exact cause of the seepage of my concrete slab. A previous contractor in 2013 mudjacked the kitchen floor and occluded the heating and cooling ductwork in the floor. CLI explained why they happen and what steps can be taken to resolve. This involved opening a wall, removing 2x4's and drywall, opening the concrete floor (after it was leveled) and replacing all the ductwork that was damaged / occluded by the other contractor. The concrete leveling went flawlessly. A different crew arrived to open a wall. Another crew arrived to bust open the concrete. However, the foreman looked over the job and expressed concern that this was beyond his ability to complete. He didn't have the experience (he stated this) to accomplish this task. Kudos, to this guy and FSM, Inc. for recognizing the job was bigger that previously thought. The timeline for the job was doubled at this point. FSM then sent out another HVAC contractor to quote the job. The following week, a FSM crew arrived and opened up the floor with a jack hammer. The HVAC contractors arrived, removed all the occluded ductwork and replaced it with brand new duct work. The work was of high quality and completely up to code. FSM then returned to poor cement over the new ductwork. This part of the job was extremely difficult as the crew had to get the cement level enough so I can replace porcelien tile. As luck would have it the new cement didn't entirely level to the existing slab which required compensatory steps when replacing the tile. I do not fault FSM for this. It was a extremely difficult job and I have no doubt the crew did the best they could under the circumstances. I would highly recommend FSM. Because they had to sub-contract the HVAC work. It's entirely likely they lost money or broke even on my job. However, they quoted me a job and a price. They delivered what they promised to deliver and the price they promised to deliver it. Many contractors might not stand behind a quote. FSM did stand behind it, and I was in constant communication with a manager throughout the process once, they realized they needed a certified HVAC guy to do the job

When the gentlemen arrived to perform the work, the first young man through the door unfortunately did not remove/cover his boots, so I had a couple of area rugs that were left with some sort of greasy dirt on them. The young man appologized profusely, but unfortunately, the damage had already been done. They came in and assessed the problem and got right to work. I was told that it could be quite a mess/dust residue caused by the cutting of the concrete and that they would clean up as best they could. The entire job took approximately an hour and fifteen minutes, and there was hardly any dust or residual mess when they left, other than than the rugs. I received a survey via email the next day asking for my input on how the work was completed, and if I was happy with the results. My first instinct was to just give them complete 100's/A+'s for convenience sake, and also because I'm in the car business, and we live and die by our customer surveys, so I know what result a good or bad survey can do for a business. I decided to take my time and answer the questions and fill out my remarks accordingly. I mentioned my dismay about the rugs being ruined and I to my surprise, I received a phone call within an hour of filling out the survey, from a gentleman who was either the owner or general manager asking me to tell my side of the story. (I'm sorry I do not remember his name) He was very understanding and reiterated his appologies and aksed if he could pay for new rugs. I was shocked to say the least, but declined his offer, only because I knew I couldn't replace them with the exact color they are, and in my opinion, it would be a mute point and flat out wrong to take the money if I knew I really couldn't actually replace them. He told me to think about it and if I changed my mind, or found rugs that would suffice, he would be more than happy to pay for them. I left it alone. The following week I received another call from a young lady at Foundation Sytems of Michigan letting me know that there was a check in the mail for me to either replace the rugs or use the money how I wanted. Needless to say I was flabbergasted and a little embarrassed that I had even mentioned the rugs, but the more I have thought about it over the last week, I'm extremely impressed with how much integrity this company and its owner has. I just want to say "THANK YOU" from the bottom of my heart and I will recommend your company every chance I get, number one because of its integrity and number two because of the great final result of their workmanship. With Kind Regards, Mary Anne Curcur

It went very well. The representative was a down-to-earth guy and lived in the general area of my neighborhood. He explained the procedure they use very well and had printed material backing his explanation. The crew was punctual, and they did a great job. I paid a bit more than other estimates, but their product I felt was much better. I got this job done in 2013 and haven't had an issue since. I definitely recommend their product and their service. In fact, I did recommend services to a friend. The same guy came out and told them that unfortunately leveling their concrete was not what they needed. My friend was grateful that the company was not just providing a product just to get the money

"I am extremely happy with Detroit Concrete Leveling for the job they did leveling my driveway and walkway, and caulking the cracks in my cement. The sales person, Lawrence, was very informative about building codes and what was involved in the process, and didn't talk down about any of his competitors like another company I received an estimate from did. The workers, Mike and Matt showed up at the scheduled time, worked hard all day, and did an excellent job leveling and repairing my broken concrete. I couldn't be happier with the job they did or the professionalism they showed in explaining everything in detail and working with me to get the concrete pitched away from the house the way I wanted. I found the price of $2500 for all the work they did, and the results they achieved, to be very reasonable. I would definitely hire them again if the need arises.
Do you have concrete that has settled and its causing a trip hazard? Let ACE Mudjacking level it back up for you. Mudjacking is a process where a series of holes are drilled into the concrete and a concrete sand slurry is pumped into the holes causing the settled slab to be brought back to its original pour line. We also offer concrete coating

"Did a really nice job removing the old concrete, which exposed a second set of older concrete stairs, too steep to use, but built over them. Old footings that were exposed were able to stay and be used again.

"A representative from the company came out to provide a free basement inspection & quote for a small "added on" room in our basement. He explained how water has been getting into our basement and what would need to happen to prevent it from happening further. He provided us with an estimate at that time. To be honest, it was more money than what we thought we could afford for the little room. I was then contacted about a week later with an offer for a field supervisor to come out and re-inspect the basement. At that time, they were able to provide another estimate, but this time, to have the entire basement waterproofed. He walked us through what the water was doing to the walls in the other portion of the basement, and what that could mean in the future if it continued. The estimate differed by a fairly minimal amount. We decided to move forward with the project.
The scheduling process was simple. We had an EZ Breathe unit installed within a month of the initial contact/estimate. The job was scheduled to be started roughly another month out. When the crew(s) arrived the first day, the gentleman spent time with us to explain what he would be doing that day and going over some basic paperwork. He put plastic over everything in our basement to try to keep it protected and to help minimize the concrete dust that would inevitably get everywhere. The second day, a crew arrived to dig (by hand) along the side of our house all the way down to the footer. The 2 gentleman were outside in VERY cold temperatures, but they worked through it all. I'm sure they complained about the cold amongst themselves , but they did not do it in earshot of us. When the crew arrived on the third day, they had such a system in place, it was awesome to watch them work together so well. They all had positive attitudes and were very polite to all of us. They ensured that they protected our floors, stairs and doorways to minimize tracking the dust/concrete, etc. throughout our home. They cleaned up after themselves as best as possible, even going as far as sweeping our kitchen floor and breezeway to get as much of the dust/debris off of the floor.
The staff at EverDry were all very polite & professional. We felt that they truly cared about our home & getting the job completed the right way. They did a very thorough job of explaining the process to us, showing us the progress and ensuring that all of our questions were answered. At the completion of the job, they thanked us for our business and followed up if we had any further issues/questions. I would recommend them to anyone!

"TLDR; The schematics that I was given for my sump pumps were not accurate and falsely advised that the pumps had backup battery systems when they did not. This lead to damage that was not covered by warrantee. In short you pay professional prices for bureaucratic avoidance of responsibility, and a sump pump system that is guaranteed to work only under perfect conditions. DO NOT TRUST.
Crew has always been super nice and professional throughout the experience but the actual system is crap for the money spent unless everything in nature is perfect. Which, you know, is why I need a sump pump system?! For perfect weather??
1. Battery Issue
Got two sump pumps put in my crawl space. Team installed two, single model pumps and gave me the paperwork/schematics for the 'Elite 365 Sump Pump' which states that a 120 AMP battery backup "shall be installed". Power went out two days ago, no battery kicked in. Check my schematics...yup, battery mentioned. Called the business who had ONE support member working phones and only TWO on staff. Had to call back multiple times over the next 4 hours to talk to someone and get a tech out the next day. Turns out, the installation order listed the sump pumps as "Elite 365 Single" and that label of single is the only indication that there is, in fact, NO BATTERY BACKUP for the crawl system that I spent $13,000 installing. So now the water in my crawl ruined the $1,800 dehumidifier that was installed and the warranty doesn't cover pump failure or power outages. $13k for a my crawl to look like the inside of a dirty, moldy ice cooler soon as the power goes out. Power was out for 4 hours, damage done. Company wouldn't do jack.
2. Door
Agreed to install a sealing door to the crawl. Found out during that they uh, couldn't do that actually because of the material of the wall. So now I have a crappy, half assed bit of wood with some screws in it that doesn't seal the door and lets water in all the time. Don't worry though! That's not covered by their warrantee either.
3. AC Unit
All the AC ducts that run under the house now sweat profusely due to the insulation and are growing mold! Yay! So they talked me into a dehumidifier to install down there for $1,800. Did it's job actually! House didn't smell like mold. Well, until the crawl flooded since there's no battery backup on the pumps and ruined the dehumidifier two days later and isn't covered under warrantee... So they removed the dehumidifier since it didn't work anymore and let me know I could totally buy another one!
