We are experts in air duct & dryer vent cleaning for homeowners & businesses. We also insulate & repair ductwork, offer video inspection, sanitizing, air leak testing & duct leak sealing using Aeroseal, a patented technology created by the US Department of Energy to decrease energy bills that result from leaky airducts.

"I have been using duct kings to clean my dryer vent for several years. They always arrive on time and thoroughly clean out the dryer vent. I used them again this year and they provided the same great service! It was great to have the same technician who was familiar with my home to provide the service several years in a row."

"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

Fast and honest Quality Residential Electrical Service with 38 years of experience at only $75.00/hr. Also provide Commercial Electrical Service.

"Frances is pleasant to talk with and was punctual and responsive. My problem was that he's probably too busy. When I received his invoice, he charged me for the recessed lights that *I* had already purchased and then I had to prove myself by showing him the receipt. He charged me 2x the Home Depot price for Romex (which I had 100 feet of in my garage, ready to go). He put in dimmer switches that didn't match the coloring of my house project (old switches were almond, new switches should have been white) and then indicated he thought I wanted almond color since those were in other places (so were the white!). He should have asked what color I wanted, but didn't and then didn't offer to replace them. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, I'd not hire him again."

"I was told I was getting an appliance A/C tech, who knew how to service Air Conditioners. The Technician arrived...had no idea what to do...Had to search the repair procedure on the internet !! The tech informed me, that he doesn't work on these units or know anything about them. Nothing was correctly serviced or fixed. The problem returned in 2 hours, and I was charged almost $300 for nothing. For $300 dollars, nothing got solved. Terrible service, WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for no result."

Welcome to Jamie's Heating & Cooling, proudly serving the Newbury area. With over 12 years experience in heating, ventilation and air conditioning service and sales, you can count on Jamie's Heating & Cooling for high quality service and affordable rates.

"I needed to replace my old boiler and hot water heater. Jamie was responsive to my request for proposal, suggested a indirect hot water heater connected to the boiler, gave me the best price for the install, and was flexible with the work schedule. He showed up on time, and completed the job in the timeframe estimated. He cleaned up after himself and disposed the old boiler and hot water heater. He came back the day after installation to ensure that the boiler was functioning properly. Responded within 24 hours for a follow up visit to fix the pitch of the exhaust pipe. The only negative comment I have is that I did not know that a sump pump was needed to handle the condensate from the new boiler, and I did not like the location of the tubing tacked to the wall to take the condensate to the washing machine discharge pipe. I'm not sure there was an alternative location, but I would have preferred that we had a discussion about alternatives. Otherwise, everything went very well. I would highly recommend."

"I heard about Admiral Climate from a colleague who spoke highly of the work they did and they did not disappoint. From the initial appointment and estimate with Steve through working with Lisa in the office and the installation crew everything went really smoothly. We needed a combi heater/hot water boiler replacement as well as adding an additional zone. The installation crew were punctuated, worked very clean and knowledgeable. Once they were done with the installation they walked me through how to use the new unit, installing the app for remote monitoring, etc. Highly recommend."

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

There are several common types of HVAC systems that you may have, including split systems, hybrid HVAC, duct-free systems, packaged heating and air, geothermal heating, or even portable units for heating or cooling. If you aren’t sure which type is in your home or are looking to install something different, you should consult an HVAC pro to determine which option is right for your heating and cooling needs.

With the proper maintenance and repairs, your HVAC can last 15 to 25 years. However, it depends on the type of equipment you have and the average lifespan of each, including:

There are a few ways to determine if a vent is open or closed. You can inspect the vent and examine the position of the fins. If there are spaces between them, the vent is open. If the fins are flat and touching, the vent is closed. You can also stand under the vent when the system is running to see if you feel air flowing through it.

The outdoor portions of air conditioners are designed to weather the rain, so you don’t need to worry about it. An awning or roof will help protect them from snow or falling debris, which can do more damage. This is true of both window AC and outdoor units for larger systems.

While you’ll pay more upfront for a brand-new HVAC unit, you can save money in the long run. Here’s how to save on your new HVAC system:

  • When purchasing a high-efficiency system, your energy bills will be lower in the future.

  • You may be eligible for special offers from your local energy company.

  • Depending on the system, you may be eligible for HVAC rebates and tax credits.

  • Choose to replace your air conditioning unit and furnace simultaneously to save on labor and installation costs.
