He started with a price of $380 which was a bit high and then he said he found another problem after he started. Now it is $500 dollar repair on an $800 six yr old fridge. I could have spent another $400 and had a new one. Will not use him again.

Concrete spalling can be fairly serious, especially if left untreated or in a public area. It can be a tripping hazard and, if not resolved, can lead to structural instability.

It depends on the bank and the extent of the issue. You can use epoxy-based concrete fillers to repair small cracks and dents in the floor. For larger damages, remove any debris, then patch the cracks or holes with concrete repair products or resurface the entire floor. We recommend using fast-curing products that cure in four hours. You can also buy a pre-mixed concrete patch and leveler if you are only repairing parts of your floor.

Foundation repairs typically require a building permit, depending on the state and local jurisdiction. Make sure your contractor follows all building codes, and a local building inspector will review all work to ensure that it is up to code. Not following local building codes can prevent the sale of your home and potentially put your home at an even greater risk of damage if the work isn’t done properly. You can call your local municipal office to confirm that your contractor has filed the necessary permits.
