Roof vents are an essential part of a roof, as they promote energy efficiency by keeping warm, humid air at bay. The roofing material, especially asphalt shingles, will not last as long as it should (about half of its manufacture life) if the attic is not ventilated. Condensation can occur on the inside of a roof, but it should always be temporary. It does not necessarily mean there is a roof leak. Try to step on the bottom portions of the tile that are supported by the lower layer, and distribute your weight evenly across both feet and hands, if possible.
