Over 15 years experience. Granite countertops are one of the top high luxury items we can add to our kitchen. About the only more luxurious material we could use would be marble. But that feels a little unnecessary. Sure, the veins and colors in marble are pretty. But the level of expense makes marble a little less than worthwhile. Granite seems like a much more financially achievable. And still beautiful countertop option for either a kitchen or a bathroom. "We had a great experience with Granite Works. We contracted our countertop work on July 28th. We feel very fortunate to have met Art. He is very professional and not a high pressure sales person.  He was more of a designer and he took us out to the slab yard helping us find slabs that matched our kitchen design and equally important budget.. We were able to use their sample cabinet materials and coordinate them with the slabs, colors, movement and patterns.  He advised us on the best cuts, edgings, care, etc. Once we selected the granite within a few minutes, Art presented us with an estimate on the spot.  We placed a 50% deposit and the next day the office assistance called us to schedule our on site template. The template process was easy and thorough. It is very helpful if you take your kitchen photos with you and your detailed measurements.  That way your estimate is accurate and Art can help you with balancing movement, appropriate area for seams, if any.  Granite works provided the granite, onsite measurements, sink options, bull nose edging and included all cut outs, plus an Angie's List discount. Our price was $2500 less than a company in  the Mt. Airy. Within a week we had a template completed, in two weeks the fabrication of 2 slabs, and the installation of occurred on  August 9th. In 1 day! We elected to forego their 4" backsplash option and we designed and installed our own. Art's design consultation was very helpful.  After we finished 1/2 the backsplash we sent Art a thank you email with a photo.  He was so surprised and we were surprised and happy 1) he remembered us, and 2) he liked our natural stone tile work.  We recommend Granite Works for quality, professionalism and price.  Good luck and thanks Angie's List. "Time for some home remodeling. Master bathroom.. We went to Home Depot and Lowes to see what their selection of marble and granite was for the large vanity top and we were underwhelmed. So I saw one of their ads come in our mail and it was not too far from our house so we stopped in and wow... what a selection. They have a nice showroom up front.. I am going to guess about
1,800 sf. But what is really impressive is their attached warehouse.... 20,000 sf of finished slabs, marble and granite, in every color you can think of....beautiful stuff. We met Marina Placido and she walked us through the process and then cut us loose to wander the slab warehouse. We found a beautiful piece of White Carrara marble. It is now the most unique piece in our house. The pieces were finished on time and at an affordable price. Architecturestones.com does all the cutting in house and will install the pieces at your home. We will be back when the kitchen project starts in the spring for tile countertops and cabinetry.
