"DMV Kitchen and Bath RECOMMENDATION 2023 March In December 2022-January 2023, DMV Kitchen and Bath completely gutted and rebuilt 2 bathrooms for me (foundation, pipes, electric – everything). In addition, they restored several 110 year-old door transoms, installed new doors (5 panel solid wood) throughout the house, upgraded some woodwork, installed two pocket doors, and painted a few rooms. We used high quality materials throughout, not builder-grade. This is the third time I’ve asked DMV Kitchen and Bath to do a major renovation in one of my properties over the last 10 years. "Before my 96-year-old father moved in with us, I contacted Handypro of Washington to assess our house for needed safety modifications. Ali came out and walked through the house, listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and proposed helpful modifications. Despite me changing my mind a few times as to which modifications I wanted done, Ali accommodated me without complaint. His crew efficiently installed an attractive grip bar in my raised foyer (above the step into the kitchen), 2 grab bars in the shower, and a handrail for my garage steps. My father uses them all today, which gives me much peace of mind. For future modifications/installations (possibly a chairlift and a second handrail for the basement stairs), I will call Ali and Handypro again. I am pleased with their work!"

"Allen, owner of ARM, was professional, personable, and extremely competent. He planned the project so that I received the most exacting proposal and estimate for any project I have had done. He was required to cut through a support beam and ensured the structural integrity of the roof would not be impacted before starting the install. He took two days to complete the installation of the stairway that was 11 foot high. He included some extra work laying down a plywood platform to walk and stand on. Both days exceeded 8 hours — he worked until the planned work was finished. After completing the installation, he spent time cleaning up the garage ensuring no trash or dirt was left behind. I would hire ARM Construction in a minute for any small or large future construction related projects. I can’t say enough good about Allen and his work."

"Steven was incredibly courteous and showed tremendous integrity throughout the project. He literally was correcting another man's mistakes, and did so without complaint. Because our first contractor left us in a lurch, we had to renew our permits with the county multiple times, and as a result, our inspectors were (understandably!) tough at each inspection. Several items had to be corrected that weren't originally accounted for, and Steven never once came back and tried to make those repairs our responsibility.

It has been about 14 months since the addition was completed, and when we had a problem with the newly-installed HVAC this week, we called Chevy Chase Remodeling. After only a few quick phone calls, we were set up with someone to come out and fix the problem this evening, after hours. "We had just bought our first home, a fixer upper, and had no idea where to start first. We had a list of many projects we would need to do over time and a budget we had to stick to. Devin came to look at our house and listened to all of our wants and needs as we explained the ideas we had in mind. After discussing our options we decided to start with the least attractive room in house. It was a small room that had our washer and dryer in it. We had no space in the house for an eating table and only two small closets in the whole house. So, Devin and his staff turned the space into a beautiful sunny room big enough for a dining table and two much needed storage closets with shelving, one of which also stores our washer and dryer out of sight. It looks amazing! He widened the doorway from the kitchen to the room, moved the back exit door to a more sensible location, installed 4 new windows, and laid a tile floor with an inlay border. He also installed new outlets and recessed lighting. While completing the project Devin discovered things that had been done improperly by previous owners and he repaired them to code (joists in the floor, drainage for the washer...). He noticed everything and made sure that the new room was built without any imperfections. We love the room and can't imagine not having the extra storage space. It was the best thing we ever did!"

"Small mix up in scheduled time of arrival . Brian was very courteous and friendly . Kitchen install was very difficult due to rusted pipes and calcified washers. Even faced with tight spaces and very difficult rust, Brian persevered with out cursing or quitting . Thus showing great professionalism . The up stairs bath was similar in install , but all work was done in a timely manner which was a concern of the installer. He would explain that due to faulty original installation ( which he showed me first) why the job would take the time estimated before he began. Nice touch."
