"We contacted Jim McGavin to come see if he could identify where a leak in our kitchen ceiling was originating. It didn't appear to be coming in directly through the roof as there was no leak or wetness underneath in the attic. He came out, checked out everything and offered us several ideas and possible solutions.
We opted to replace the back roof (back half was still the original?over 54 years old) and the carport roof (leaking badly and also old). As his prices were within our budget and his suggestions on preventing future leaks was well thought out, we also went with siding on both sides of the brick house that usually need painting and are very high up. His team also replaced the metal around the chimney on the roof and, without additional cost to us, replaced a few shingles and adjusted everything on the front side of the roof to absolutely ensure we really wouldn't have any more leaks. Hurrah!
He suggested adding gutters to the edge of the carport roof which, once added, not only were very functional it improved the overall look of the house as well.
He and his team were quite prompt at all times.  Although expecting the entire project to take about two days, his team were on a roll and accomplished everything in one day.  They were quite professional, the most cheerful bunch, cleaning up as they went along. When done, Jim walked us around the entire property showing us what they did, why it was done and answered all of our questions. He also took before and after photos of the roof work so yours truly didn't have to climb a ladder just to see how great it turned out.
Before they left, they walked the yards more than once to carefully to recheck for any extra debris (e.g., nails, metal pieces) which was greatly appreciated by us having 3 dogs that run around the yards daily.
We were so pleased with the quality of the work and the end results we have asked him for a new estimate to cover the underside of the carport too.  
We highly recommend James McGavin's services. We are definitely calling him anytime we need roofing type work done. Well worth every dime.  He is a real pleasure to work with, easy going and so patient with endless questions.  The end result  is totally awesome!

Update as of June 22, 2015 - We have had some serious rainstorms come through including the dregs of a tropical storm.  The house roof and carport roof do not leak!  We have a winner folks!  Go Jim McGaven!"
