"I hired Joe for a whole house project, and I highly recommend his work. The qualify of work is excellent, and his rates are reasonable. Joe was partner throughout the process, and he was meticulous in putting together proposals each time I made an additional request or we uncovered pre-existing issues that required repair. Joe is a good man, and I am extremely fortunate that I found him."

"Mr. Townsley does quality professional work at a fair price. The first job he did for me was painting my house which included power washing the house, replacing some damaged cedar siding, priming and finally painting the entire structure. His strongest attribute is paying extreme attention to detail. The second job was refurbishing a metal porch and steps. The most challenging part of this task was stripping off old paint, custom fabricating risers for the steps and painting. Again his attention to detail prevailed. I would not hesitate using Mr. Townsley again."

"Excellent service. I had a deck built. I would give FAMB a 10 if the chart would go that high. Mr Noel is a honest , hard working , Christian person. He completed the project like he said he would and did an excellent job. I will hire him again and recommend him to others."

"Harry did a great job with remodeling our kitchen and bathroom. We had some challenges come up due to our house being built in 1913 but he was able to overcome those challenges and we now have a beautiful and updated kitchen and bathroom."

"Kinner construction did an excellent job on my deck and screened-in porch. They are great to work with! I highly recommend them! The only downside was I did have to wait a little while before they could start my job."

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

Adding an extension or addition to your home costs more than a loft conversion in all but the rarest cases where the home's structural integrity is lacking. Because a home addition requires a new foundation section or significant structural upgrades to handle a cantilevered portion, the cost compared to almost any loft conversion is significantly greater for the same square footage.

Yes, you can use a storage shed several ways, including as a chicken coop, but you'll need to make some modifications. You will have to add a chicken door, roosts, ventilation near the roof, mesh on the windows, and insulation if you live in a colder climate. Additionally, you’ll want to ensure that the shed is predator-proof so no other animals can harm your chickens. You should also add a run and nest boxes to your shed.

Ranch and colonial-style homes are often the most affordable to build. They have a common layout with available designs that are easy to adjust in simple ways without having to spend too much on a structural engineer or architect. Both types of homes' symmetry, simple roofs, and often one or two-story plans mean they often fall in the $150 to $200 square-foot range, putting them right around average.

While sheds are most certainly helpful for most homeowners, unfortunately, sheds do not add value to a home or property in the traditional sense. However, if the home has limited storage or garage space, having a shed to store things like decorations or lawn equipment can certainly be a positive if you want to sell.

The construction stage is almost always the longest part of building a house. Within this stage, framing often takes the most time, lasting anywhere from one week to a couple of months, depending on the home's size, the crew, and the time of year. Other parts of the construction phase include pouring the foundation and installing doors, windows, a roof, siding, drywall, and flooring. The planning and design phase can also be very time-consuming, sometimes taking months or even years, especially for a custom home. The final finishing process, which includes painting and installing trim, is typically shorter than the construction or planning stages.
