"Mack's Home Services is a very professional company. He explained every step of what he was doing and what was found. He was very courteous and open to questions. He did a great job cleaning my ducts and with the post flood mold abatement. I would recommend him to anyone in need of his services!"

"The service was fine. The best part of my experience with them was they showed up when they said they would show up and they cleaned the vents like they said they would. The worst part was that they broke a couple of the flops on my outside dryer vents. They did not even mention it. It was just cheap plastic and I had someone come out and replace it."

"Our cleaner Stephan was very professional, nice and informative. He even installed a special blue light with our system to prevent mold.... the same day. Would definitely recommend. The price went up because we opted to have mold cleaning and light installed. But very needed service. The price started around $240.00."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The easiest way to remove snow from a roof involves using a roof rake that allows you to clear snow from the ground. Roof rakes are lightweight and feature adjustable handles, making them user-friendly for most people. This method also helps prevent ice dams and excess snow buildup, reducing the risk of roof damage during winter months.

When should you remove snow from your roof? A good rule of thumb is once six inches of snow accumulates.

Yes, moss can be dangerous for your roof if left in place to grow without treatment. The moss soaks up and holds moisture. Having a constantly damp roof could lead to problems with rot for the parts of the roof that consist of wood. Additionally, a patch of thick moss may draw insects and birds, which could damage the roof. Thick moss could block the roof’s drainage system. Water then may back up after a rainstorm and cause further damage that could eventually lead to roof repair expenses or the cost of roof replacement.

There are several ways to remove snow from your roof: using a snow rake, salting the roof with calcium chloride, using a rope (cautiously), and using heating cables. It’s important to mention that pretty, fluffy, sparkling snow weighs a great deal, and when physically removing snow from a roof, you should be aware of large snow slabs breaking off. These can weigh hundreds of pounds and are a real danger, so be extremely careful anytime you’re doing this type of work.

You should clean your panels at least twice a year. It depends on your location. In dusty climates (think the Arizona desert), you may need to clean your panels more frequently. Dust can dramatically impact the electrical output. If you live in a climate with extreme weather, you may want to check your panels seasonally.

To prolong the lifespan of a slate roof, perform regular maintenance. This includes conducting annual inspections to check for damaged or broken tiles and addressing any minor issues promptly. Clean the gutters regularly, remove any overhanging tree branches, and ensure the flashing remains intact to prevent leaks. For comprehensive care, consider scheduling periodic professional inspections.
