"Harry did a great job with remodeling our kitchen and bathroom. We had some challenges come up due to our house being built in 1913 but he was able to overcome those challenges and we now have a beautiful and updated kitchen and bathroom."

"Bobby has done a number of projects over the years, including installing new faucets and recessed lighting, replacing a new backsplash (tile), light fixtures (indoor and out), painting, replacing door knobs, and the like. He even installed our tetherball for the kids. He is always friendly and responsive. He is our go-to handyman for almost everything!"

"Devon arrived promptly to give us a quote to repair a door and install a deadbolt. His estimate was reasonable and fair. When he came to perform the work, he had the knowledge, skill and care to make sure our door was properly balanced and secure. Would definitely recommend him and would hire him again. "Needed help installing a dryer vent through a brick wall... Didnt have the right tools to drill a 4 inch hole in bricks efficiently and decided to hire someone. I spent two hours trying to do this with minimal progress... told my wife I'd be laughing if the guy showed up and knocked it out in an hour. Franklin came out and drilled the hole for me in about 45 minutes for a reasonable price. He had all the right tools and made quick work of a task that would have taken me several hours and buying some new tools. Great work franklin!"

"Tony, my HVAC technician, was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. From the initial estimate to the final installation. He replaced both the indoor and outdoor units, vacuumed down the lines and made sure the new system was running perfectly. He was respectful of my property, cleaned up and took the time to show me how to maintain my new system. I highly recommend him and the honest and reliable service."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, getting rid of bed bugs without an exterminator is possible. However, it will take significantly longer and more effort than professional extermination. Using a HEPA vacuum, steaming, sealing, and other DIY removal methods work with consistent effort. Plus, it won’t guarantee to clear the entire infestation, so you may need to apply several follow-up treatments.

Most spiders are harmless and are more interested in finding and eating insects than trying to bite you or your family members. Certain spiders in your home may be advantageous if you have an issue with insects. Most spiders are non-venomous and have small mouths, so even if they did bite you, it wouldn’t be enough to cause any harm.

However, some species of spiders can cause harm if you are a victim of their spider bite, including the black widow and brown recluse varieties. Both species’ venom is poisonous, and you should seek medical help if bitten.

Bug bombs do not typically eradicate a pest infestation completely. The bug bomb chemicals cannot reach into the small cracks and crevices that pests like to live in, so it may not reach every live bug. It’s much more effective to hire a professional pest control company to perform a home fumigation, removing the infestation fully.

Deer rely on scent to tell them what’s safe and unsafe, so effective deer repellents have to be pungent. Make your own natural repellent by combining a beaten egg, one tablespoon of cooking oil, one tablespoon of dish soap, and a half cup of milk. Pour it into a spray bottle and spray around your garden, avoiding anything you will want to eat later. This stinky repellent will ward off any deer that want to make your produce their next meal. But keep in mind that if your windows are nearby, the scent may waft over.

No, pest-repellent plants can only reduce the number of pests in your garden—they won’t repel all of them. So, for example, a plant like catnip that repels mosquitoes won’t completely eradicate them from your yard.
