"TLDR: Reasonable pricing, house looks (and smells) new, and we got some helpful tips as first-time homeowners. Would 10/10 recommend My Carpet Cleaning & Restoration Services. As first-time homeowners, we wanted clean the carpets from the previous occupants before we moved in. Rich (in Laurel, MD) helped walk us through the process and was flexible around our schedule since we were living out of state. For anyone inexperienced in carpet cleaning (like I was), make sure you document any dark marks or discoloration in the carpets, particularly on the edges/corners of the room. Due to the additional cleaning necessary, it can increase the price, and it’s easier to get an accurate quote if you provide that information up front. Thankfully, Rich clarified pricing once noticed, showed us some small areas where we could use extra cleaning, and recommended places where we probably didn’t need to spend more money on (like closet edges that will be covered by furniture). We also got a discount since the house didn’t have furniture in it yet, so the total cost was still lower than other competing quotes. He also provided some helpful tips for us as new homeowners. It was a smooth and pleasant experience, and I’m so glad we got it done before moving in. The house was fine before, but now that the carpets look (and smell) so much better, it really feels like a new house."
