"This was a very stressful time for us: new home, major snow storm, massive leaking. CCR was a godsend. CCR provided a very fast, very thorough estimate: by far the most detailed and best of the three we received. We had trouble finding a contractor who would do all the various pieces of this job. We felt lucky to find a company that did both patio floors and roofing and structural work and drywall/painting.
Steven and Jenny were excellent about keeping in touch with us throughout the process, both with respect to timing of work and pricing. We had no idea what we would find once we opened up the drywall, and they were great about showing us and explaining to us best next steps and alternative solutions. We probably had four different crews at our house at various times: carpentry; roofing/patio; painting and drywall; and flooring. All of the crews were very professional: we had a pretty big project but they kept it very contained so that it did not interfere with day to day life or the rest of the house. They were very tidy with respect to the work space and any exterior debris. Also, when Steven said the crews were coming, they showed up on time every time. 
We have been thrilled with the quality of the work. Our new patio floor is lovely and matches our house perfectly. Steven spent a lot of time researching the best material for us to use as both a patio floor as well as the roof to our family room. We could have retiled but he helped us find a less expensive but just as effective alternative. We are very happy with the stucco-style result and our family room is nice and dry. Our family room is also unusual in that it is essentially a half circle with lots of curved surfaces. The drywall repair and painting looks amazing--as though there never was a leak. Because our formal living room was also affected by the leaky patio, it now has a beautiful new custom sliding door (Steven helped us find a good quality but not too expensive custom door) and gorgeous refinished floors--they are as smooth and shiny as a piano top. Every aspect of the project came out beautifully!
We have a number of other projects we will want to tackle in the next couple of years. We would be very very happy to work with Chevy Chase Remodeling again in the future.

"John Mycek and his team took on a series of upgrades to lighting, ventilation, ceilings and access in our dining area, kitchen, laundry and furnace rooms, as well as patching outdated/unnecessary openings in our attic and gable end. Even with a big winter storm delaying everything in the region, they were able to knock out the work in roughly two weeks. The price was quite fair, and we received suggestions from the team that helped modify our original plan into something more realistic and workable. All of the little renovations are making a big difference in the "working" spaces of our home. Would definitely hire this company again!"

"Jose and team did an excellent job of diagnosing the problem, replacing bad wood, sealing, etc. around both the storm and inside doors, both of which they had to replace. They went above and beyond in assuring my rain gutters were unclogged and not leaking. They gave special attention to the locks that I requested. "The Proposal: Our salesman, Stephen, was very easy to talk to, responsive, and accommodating. When he didn't know the exact answer to something he was straightforward about it and made it a point to find out whatever it was. About the Professionals: The installers worked quickly and efficiently in oppressive heat, and finished their work in 1 day. Communicative and friendly. The Product: They appear to be good quality doors. Our only complaint is that our patio door came without its screen, or the key lock that we ordered to go with it. The screen on the front storm door became loose shortly after installation. This seems to be the manufacturer's error, and not AES's. A representative from the manufacturer (Alside) came to fix the issues after the fact. While it did take several weeks to get that sorted, it was still a positive experience working with the Alside rep; he was able to make a number of adjustments to the patio door that had it working even better than before, and repaired the storm door screen quickly. The Schedule: Our patio door was an odd size, so we had to wait an extra month or so, as their manufacturer (Alside) was backed up with orders. Props to our salesman Stephen for identifying straight away that we had a non-standard door size and accounted for it in his estimate, so we had no surprise costs. We also had to wait a fairly long time from contract signing to installation, due to their installer's busy summer schedule. AES was straightforward about this, though, and since we did not have a pressing deadline, we were ok with it. It was worth the wait. In summary, we have two new great-looking entrances on our townhouse, a sound investment. I would choose to work AES again because of their efficient installations and good communication, even if they are not the cheapest show in town. I've actually contracted them already to do work on a new property (kitchen and bathroom remodels), so I will be posting about that in the near future."
