Our chimney was separating from the house (result of last year's earthquake) by millimeters, but it was a safety issue. He explored alternatives with us, and re-build was the best, safe option. His estimate came in lower than two others. The crew worked steadily, used bricks that were a virtual match, and the owner paused to answer any questions that we posed.
