Abel took out concrete in my backyard and installed eco-friendly permeable pavers that look great and absorb water. "I needed to remove a shower base/pan in the basement (on a concrete floor). Was going to do it myself, 'til I realized this shower base had been made using concrete (approx. 35 yrs ago). Wasn't sure where to go/who to use, and wound up coming to HomeAdvisor.com, who provided me w. the names of 2 companies/contractors who should be able to remove this concrete shower base. I contacted both contactors, but it was this contractor (Hernandez Stone Work) who followed through right away. My e-mail to him (Pedro) specifed that I'd like to get this done asap - and he was right there for me. Came to the house, that afternoon, to look at the project. Gave me a price quote (which was fine with me!), and his crew came to the house, 3 days later, and within 2 hrs, the concrete shower was gone! So was all the concrete debrie! I couldn't be more pleased! I was expecting a LOT of dust - and the dust is minimal. They did a terrific job - protecting the shower drain pipe, which was unharmed by the concrete removal - and a terrific price, too! What would have taken me probably 6 weeks to do, was accomplished within 2 hrs. Amazing! The crew was fast, hard-working, pleasant, professional... Seriously - I cannot say enough nice things about this group. I will use them again - soon. (Next project? Replacing our concrete driveway.) Hernandez Stone Work is top-notch, and I thoroughly recomment them!"

"We hired XtraCare to rebuild a failing retaining wall along our driveway, repoint the masonry on another retaining wall, install a French drain behind the retaining wall that wasn’t rebuilt, and reconstruct a concrete walkway that had subsided over the years. We had requested quotes from several reputable contractors, and XtraCare submitted a very reasonable bid. While it was not the lowest one received, our initial meeting with Cleber convinced us that he had a much better sense of the myriad challenges posed by the project (e.g., difficult topography, drainage issues, potential permitting obstacles) than the other contractors did. The project manager, CJ, was always responsive and let us know what to expect at every stage of the project. The crew was unfailingly friendly and diligent and even completed some work that was outside the scope of the project (repointing some crumbling mortar on the porch adjacent to the new retaining wall they built). We are extremely pleased with the results! Even the building inspector complemented us on the excellent craftsmanship. And two weeks after they completed the job, the crew returned to clean and inspect the wall one more time. Finally, the office staff – Mari and Raquel – were exceedingly helpful and communicative, always keeping us apprised of what was happening on the project and what to expect next. We cannot recommend XtraCare highly enough. They truly went above and beyond, and we intend to use them for any future projects on our house."

"I contacted Brothers Pavers for an estimate to upgrade my patio. Jose came out and did some measurements, asked a few questions and I received a written quote within 24/48 hours. The quote was a little more than I was looking to spend, so Jose came back out a few days later to discuss the project and I adjusted the scope of work to reduce costs. Let me just say, the process from beginning to end has been nothing but pleasant. I was informed every step of the way. David let me know when the materials were ordered and placed me on the schedule when my materials came in early, Jose and his crew were able to start the job earlier than anticipated. These guys were fast and efficient, they cleaned up after themselves and the finished product looks like a work of art. Seriously... my new patio is absolutely gorgeous. The team of Jose went above and beyond and even did extra things like burying my drain downspout and curving the edges of the patio border so the new patio flowed with my existing pergola. A+ product and service. I can honestly see why it is that Brothers Pavers has all of these 5-star reviews. They are truly well deserved. "Very thorough preparation--removal of prior driveway, substantial excavation to permit required base of crushed stone and sand, concrete footings around perimeter of driveway to stabilize edges of paver driveway. Very nice work setting pavers, setting trim pavers on edges, trimming pavers to fit where driveway wasn't square, and applying polymeric sand to seal joints."

"I had Freedom Fencing replace a fence for me a few years back and there were a few planks that had popped loose. I called them to come to take a look and Steve called me and indicated he was going to check it out and would call me back. By the end of the evening when I arrived home later that date the fence had been repaired! Planks were replaced and he even shaved off gate door as was tight to close. I didn't even ask him to fix gate! I highly recommend this company as they are responsive and efficient!"
