"I’m an individual who is familiar with real estate and home projects, having done many myself, and this is a true story and honest review for which I did not receive ANY incentive or compensation to write. I was selling a home in Oella, and during its structural inspection a few of the old, 1926 wooden floor joists were found to need replacement. I had interviewed a few different builders and decided to employ Persky Custom Builders.  The owner, Josh, returned my call very soon after I had made it, and our appointment to see the issue was made for the following day (Checked box - Prompt and responsive.)  Josh discussed how he would be able to not only support the structure, but actually replace some pieces  - something which the other builders felt was too difficult to do (Checked box - Knowledgeable with expert skills). There was no sales pressure; Josh was forthright and personable (Checked box - Someone I felt comfortable with).  Josh provided me the quote for the work within a couple of days, and the cost was reasonable.  It was a slight bit higher than the other quotes, but then again, he was offering me a more complex technical solution which I wanted  (Checked box - The price was right).  The work was started within a few days and completed within a week (Checked box – Efficient; stayed with project and finishes it). I was very pleased with the results;  what I thought was going to be impossible, was made possible (Checked box – Great work quality). The work site was left tidy and clean, and Josh came to meet with me to examine the final results, be sure everything was addressed, and I that was pleased (Checked box – Customer service was beyond my expectations).    I have to give Persky Custom Builders an A+.  They checked ALL my boxes for what I needed and wanted for this renovation project. "Due to a previous job running longer than planned, our 3-day job had to be rescheduled.  As it turned out, that was more convenient for us, anyway.  I only mention it to remind folks that this sort of thing can happen.

The first day, they sucked out the old insulation.  That seemed to go pretty well, but I did notice that several pockets of the old stuff were left in place, here and there.  Maybe it could have been done a bit better.

Day 2 was foam sealing of the tops and bottoms of the walls.  This was done by a subcontractor, who arrived saying that they didn't understand the job they were supposed to do.  A call to AC&R resulted in a visit from their "Foam Superintendent" within an hour and everything was straightened out.  Since there is a fair amount of set-up time for the foaming operation, no time was lost in waiting for the superintendent.  The difficulty was chalked up to a difference in terminology between the two companies.  Presumably, they now speak the same language.

Day 3 was blowing in the new insulation, along with the installation of some contraptions between the rafters to allow the eave vents to continue to breathe through all the fluff, and some batt-style insulation over all the catwalk areas in the attic.

Each day, when they left, the place was relatively clean, except for a few bits of insulation fluff in the hallway, under the attic access hatch.  No real problem, there.

We've only had one night with our new insulation, but the house does seem more comfortable.  This operation took us from having about 3-4 inches of matted 70-year-old mineral wool to 19 inches of nice new fluffy fiberglass.  We are expecting a significant decrease in climate control costs, along with increased comfort."

"Clarence is one of the best contractors I have ever used. He was professional, honest with great integrity, and did all he could to ensure I was completely satisfied with the work that was performed. Santos hung the siding and was prompt, courteous and thorough. He set up and cleaned up to my complete satisfaction and was a very friendly, enjoyable person to speak with and work with. The gutter guys made some great suggestions and installed the new gutters even better than what was originally there. As an extra, Home Pro offered to install all new lighting around the house to help complete the "brand new" appearance. I bought the fixtures and they installed them at no extra cost. Clarence personally came back to troubleshoot and correct one of the light fixtures that wasn't working correctly. Without reservation, I strongly endorse Clarence, Santos, and the Home Pro company. A fairly large job was completed for a very reasonable price, with pride in workmanship, and uncommonly great customer service. Five stars!
