"Due to a previous job running longer than planned, our 3-day job had to be rescheduled.  As it turned out, that was more convenient for us, anyway.  I only mention it to remind folks that this sort of thing can happen.

The first day, they sucked out the old insulation.  That seemed to go pretty well, but I did notice that several pockets of the old stuff were left in place, here and there.  Maybe it could have been done a bit better.

Day 2 was foam sealing of the tops and bottoms of the walls.  This was done by a subcontractor, who arrived saying that they didn't understand the job they were supposed to do.  A call to AC&R resulted in a visit from their "Foam Superintendent" within an hour and everything was straightened out.  Since there is a fair amount of set-up time for the foaming operation, no time was lost in waiting for the superintendent.  The difficulty was chalked up to a difference in terminology between the two companies.  Presumably, they now speak the same language.

Day 3 was blowing in the new insulation, along with the installation of some contraptions between the rafters to allow the eave vents to continue to breathe through all the fluff, and some batt-style insulation over all the catwalk areas in the attic.

Each day, when they left, the place was relatively clean, except for a few bits of insulation fluff in the hallway, under the attic access hatch.  No real problem, there.

We've only had one night with our new insulation, but the house does seem more comfortable.  This operation took us from having about 3-4 inches of matted 70-year-old mineral wool to 19 inches of nice new fluffy fiberglass.  We are expecting a significant decrease in climate control costs, along with increased comfort."

"This review is long overdue.  Dave Bennington and his crew (especially project manager John) did a top notch job on our deck/enclosed sun porch project.  Dave was extremely responsive, competitive on price and prompt.  Even in the extreme heat of this past summer, he had his guys get as much done before the day got too hot to try to stay on schedule.  I am happy to speak with anyone who is thinking about hiring Bennington Builders and would not hesitate to hire them on a future project.  My wife and I are very particular and Dave expertly dealt with all our requests.

"Manny was professional, showed up when promised and finished the project when expected. He painted my entire townhome in 5 days including all the ceilings. His quality of work is excellent and charges a fair price. He arrived early the AM and was gone by 6 PM each night. He and workers were in my home by themselves all day treated my home with care. "Clarence is one of the best contractors I have ever used. He was professional, honest with great integrity, and did all he could to ensure I was completely satisfied with the work that was performed. Santos hung the siding and was prompt, courteous and thorough. He set up and cleaned up to my complete satisfaction and was a very friendly, enjoyable person to speak with and work with. The gutter guys made some great suggestions and installed the new gutters even better than what was originally there. As an extra, Home Pro offered to install all new lighting around the house to help complete the "brand new" appearance. I bought the fixtures and they installed them at no extra cost. Clarence personally came back to troubleshoot and correct one of the light fixtures that wasn't working correctly. Without reservation, I strongly endorse Clarence, Santos, and the Home Pro company. A fairly large job was completed for a very reasonable price, with pride in workmanship, and uncommonly great customer service. Five stars!
