"Beautifully. We choose them in 2014 because they were available after a major storm. In 2014, they repaired major damage to several trees and gave us excellent advice about trees on our property. These people are arborists, not merely tree cutters. In 2016, they moved a 10-ft section of decorative block wall away from a large tree. The results were stunning: you would think that the wall had originally been laid in its current location.. In neither case did we get other bids, but I suspect this firm is a bit pricier than many others. Still, I would ask them for a proposal, for you will get a free education that is worth your time."

Kevin and his uncle came out to plant 20 emerald green arborvitae trees along our driveway. They dug all the holes by hand, demonstrating incredible effort and precision. They even moved the excess dirt into a neat pile exactly where we requested. Once the job was done, they thoroughly cleaned up and even blew the driveway free of debris. "Awesome end-to-end experience! After two other tree service arborists inspected trees with me but then failed to actually send estimates, I searched Angie's List and read many of Gordon's reviews. I left him a voicemail on a Friday. He called me Saturday and was willing to visit that weekend. Since I was busy over the weekend, he agreed to call Monday or Tuesday. He called Tuesday at approx. 11am, indicating he was in the area working a job and could be by in 30 minutes. I agreed to meet him. We inspected my four large shade trees (2 sycamore and 2 maples) and I explained we needed better visibility from front porch, unblock view of a corner stop sign, and ensure no growth into siding. He explained his additional recommendation for overall thinning and shaping. He provided an on the spot verbal estimate of $800 and when I asked if he accepted a credit card, he indicated yes, but would charge only $750 if I wrote a check. I had researched average job costs and Gordon's quote was very reasonable. I then asked what his lead time was and he indicated his crew was finishing a job nearby and they could be by in an hour after they ate lunch. He and his crew arrived promptly an hour later, a crew of six total, including Gordon. Gordon rang the doorbell and asked me to review first tree trimming with him before he moved on to remaining three to ensure it met my expectations per our earlier discussion. After finishing, Gordon asked me to walk our property and review pruning for all four trees. His crew was well organized, worked together like clockwork, and Gordon was right there with them working and directing to ensure all trees were pruned to expectations and clean-up was thorough. Our yard looks "larger" now and is very open with the thinning Gordon recommended, as they removed overlapping and dead branches to include providing more ground clearance. They look great and Gordon indicated they shouldn't require pruning again for at least five years. I'll now hire Gordon for annual tree / shrub maintenance (fertilize, insects, disease prevention) and fire the other provider that had provided that service but failed to provide a pruning estimate. I strongly recommend Gordon and his team for any tree related care! Well done!"

"JMC Tree Service did a thorough, professional job taking down a challenging tree. Communication was excellent, crew worked as a tight team; this was a very large oak, it had a trunk of over 54" in diameter and overhung both my neighbors and my house, along with the homes power lines - truly a lot of challenges. The price included taking the tree down, hauling the trunk, cutting the branches to length that would fit in my free standing fireplace, and grinding the stump - all for significantly less than other estimates received - more in line with the cost I was expecting. "This company provides excellent work.  The grass always appeared that they were keeping the blades sharpened on their lawnmower.  The grass was always cut based on the temperature outside. We were never concerned if they would show up each week. The only reason we are not currently using them is because their prices were higher than we wanted to pay each week.
