Fabulous experience! could not have gone better. Communication spot on. Arrived promptly for estimate and emailed it immediately. they charge $600 and had other estimates for $900, $100 and $1400 for same job! sent out Miss utility and once that was complete they were ready to c ome out the next day. they had to push is to one day later due to an unexpectedly long job but they came the next day as promised. They communicated with me by phone, email and text to let me know off the schedules and any chances. Did the work with a team of 5 and large, well-kept machines. removed the stump and removed all the debris and place was in perfect condition (minus our dead tree) when they left. final payment request came in promptly and was easy to pay online. I would hire them again without any hesitation. VERY happy with the company.

We had Hometown Tree Experts remove two large oak trees in our backyard and a large spruce tree from our front yard. We had multiple quotes, and they were the least expensive (by thousands of dollars for most of the other quotes we had). Not only that, their office staff were the most friendly of any tree company I've worked with. Two of the companies that gave us quotes told us they would need to bring a crane in, and Hometown did it without a crane and with incredible speed (they did the entire job in under 6 hours). Not only that, they managed to take down the massive oak trees while not damaging the trampoline, play structure, and garden, all of which were very close by. They also were just overall very friendly, and left the yard cleaner than it was when they got there. I hope I don't need to have any more trees removed, but if I do, I will definitely use this company again.

Hometown Tree Experts provided a first class service from start to finish. They removed several large trees on our properties for a great price and did an excellent job. From beginning to end it went really well. Greg is a walking encyclopedia of trees and good practical advice on how to manage them. His proposal was clearly written and lower than two other firms. The crew was right on time, wasted no time getting set up and taking the tree down, and removed a large limb from another tree that fell while they were working on the dead tree. They climbed up about 50 feet in a twin trunk tree and installed a cable between the twins to help stabilize the lesser twin. Very pleased with them, enough to recommend them to my neighbor who also used them for a dead tree in their front yard.

Hometown Tree experts were excellent from the start to end. Scheduling the free estimate to the actual removal was very smooth. Hometown tree experts were very professional and they cleaned up and did not leave any debris in the yard. My front yard looks great. They called me before the date we had agreed to let me know they were coming and they were on time. Hometown Tree Experts is a very good company to do business with. They remove the tree and grind up the stump and backfilled the hole with topsoil, leveled the ground and seeded.

The crew did a superb job. They expertly took down a large oak, even managing to preserve a shrub and a small tree at its base. They also cabled together two split trunks in another large tree, and put a foam insulation into some “wounds” in a third tree. The crew cleaned everything up beautifully. Of the 3 estimates I got for this job, Hometown Tree Experts was the lowest. I will definitely hire them again for any future tree work needed.

I got an estimate for yard work from Hometown Tree Experts about 7 months ago. One of the early estimates included pruning some tree branches on my neighbors property because they were growing into my property. My neighbor later did the work himself and rescinded permission for Hometown Tree Experts to prune his tree. I corresponded with Jacque in the Hometown Tree Office by email and she verified that my neighbors property was removed from the quote. I then paid a deposit and signed a contract for work in my yard only. The work in my yard was fine. Unfortunately, the Hometown Tree workers apparently did not have the updated version of the work order where neighbor’s property was removed. They cut off several additional branches from my neighbor’s tree without his permission. I was very upset to hear that Hometown Tree Experts had gone into my neighbor’s yard and cut additional branches off after he had already done the needed work himself. I have called and emailed Hometown Tree Experts many times over the past 7 months to ask what they were doing to address their error. They told me repeatedly that they were working with my neighbor to resolve the issue. I am very disappointed and frustrated to hear that this this issue is still not resolved. My neighbor ultimately hired another company to fix the work done by Hometown Tree Company. I was not involved with discussions with other company so I cannot comment on that. All I know is that my neighbor and Hometown Tree Experts still have not resolved their dispute 7 months later.

One man was on his phone the whole time, 3 held up the apparatus that ground up the waste, 1 was in the tree, and 2 were watching him and picking up what he cut. They were not careful to keep cuttings off the bushes planted in front of the house. Instead of having a dust pan or something to sweep the leftover leaves into they just blew them up the street and into my yard and my neighbor's yard. While it's called Home Tree Experts, they weren't as good as some I've had. Will I hire them again? I'll have to decide the answer to that in the next couple of years.

Their representative, Greg, who is NOT a board certified arborist, came to inspect and quote our job. His quote was quite a bit cheaper than another company the quoted the same job, so I hired them. When they arrived, they attempted to back their truck up my driveway, and in the process destroyed an expensive cast-bronze driveway light. They did not notify me. I only discovered it after I walked down the driveway to retrieve a trash can at the curb. I photographed it and presented it to the crew. They only grinned and shrugged (I think only one of the four spoke any English, and he was up in a tree pruning it). I immediately called the company and sent the photos. While waiting to hear back, I kept hearing several loud, thunderous crashes on the roof of the house and shed. I suspected they were dropping cut limbs onto the structures, but by the time I got outside, they had hauled the offending debris off to the chipper/shredder. One worker was standing on the roof of my shed inspecting it for damage. When I inquired what had happened, they held up acorns and Tulip Poplar buds and said (in broken English) that is what was falling on the roof. Nope, it was large limbs. When Greg arrived to inspect the destroyed driveway light, we got out my ladder and climbed on the roof to find a large hole through two layers of shingles where they dropped a cut limb. Greg agreed to replace the driveway light and repair the roof which they did to my satisfaction within a week. But for them to not fess-up to damaging my property was highly unprofessional, not to mention sloppy and careless. I will not hire them again.
