"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me. Overall, they're good designs. However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning. I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging. Jill was very responsive when I did have a question. I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done. If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs. "
"I got a deal from Berger about their table pad and just in time for my new dining room set. I didn't have time to set the template due to a new baby in the house. A few months later, they still honored my deal! WOW! I sent it in and they made the pad pretty quick. Shipping was fine and the fit was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone! Truly a good company to work with. A++"
"I needed some basic consultation to help my new restaurant's design. Rayona did a phenomenal job of using her expertise to help me bring my vision to life in a clean, on trend manner."
"I recently hired this business to help organize my bedroom, living room closets, and kitchen counters — and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and stress-free.
They were incredibly professional, punctual, and respectful of my space. What impressed me most was their attention to detail and ability to create systems that are not only functional but easy to maintain. My bedroom feels more peaceful, the closets are finally manageable (and even look good!), and my kitchen counters are clutter-free for the first time in ages.
Everything now has a place, and I feel like I can actually enjoy being in my home again. I highly recommend this organization business to anyone feeling overwhelmed by clutter — they bring a calm, practical approach that truly makes a difference.
Thank you again for helping me reclaim my space!"
Interior Design and Decorating questions, answered by experts
Professional holiday decorating services cost between $300 and $2,500 or more, with an average cost of about $1,500. The total price depends on the size of your home, the extent of the work, your location, and whether materials are included. Simple interior decoration may cost around $300, while a combination of interior and exterior work often totals around $800. For large or extensive design services, you could pay $2,500 or more. Common service costs can include: exterior holiday light installation ($400), Christmas tree decoration ($200–$600), interior holiday design ($50–$200 per hour), and holiday landscaping ($50–$100 per hour). Note that some prices may only include labor, not the cost of the decorations themselves.
An architect is usually involved in the process of determining the layout and structural features and requirements of the home itself, taking into account the local codes, climate, and materials needed to make the home structurally sound. Architects may communicate more with contractors and subcontractors throughout the building process. In comparison to architects, interior designers typically focus on the aesthetics of a home interior and possibly exterior, helping the homeowner decide on color schemes, textures, and materials to incorporate into the design.
Establishing a whole-house color palette gives your home a sense of uniformity and makes your interior look more visually appealing. Overdoing a single color can make your home feel monotonous, while too many colors can create a sense of chaos and disorganization. When in doubt, choose a foundation color and then use complementary colors to accent.
Typically, general remodeling involves architects, contractors, interior designers, electricians, plumbers, and sometimes structural engineers. Each plays a role in bringing the project from concept to completion.
Craftsman houses’ sustained popularity is likely due to their timelessly beautiful design and simplicity. To this day, they hold true to the power of hard work and refined craftsmanship and how that’s all you need to create a beautiful home.
