"Advanced granite solutions offered much faster, cheaper countertop installation than other competitors. The installation went smoothly and the counters look great. The company was super easy to deal with - Matt was great. I'd recommend them."

"I asked them to pull up carpets. They don't move furniture - but they didn't tell me that ahead of time. He did do an hour's work when he came initially - he hung a curtain - and left. The owner was supposed to call me back and didn't. I called Angie's List, who contacted the company. The company called and said that they found a handyman who would move the furniture. I had to wait 2 weeks and they finally came out. The handyman pulled up the carpet and piled it up in the living room. When I asked him about the disposal of the carpet (which I had specified when I bought the deal) he said that he didn't do carpet disposal. I asked him how much he would charge to dispose of the carpet, he then said "$100." So, I had to pay an additional $100 for disposal. Then I asked him to pull up the nail strips and he wanted to charge me another $100 for an hour of work -- even though it'd only take him 20 minutes at the most. Both men were nice and worked the entire time they were at my house, but it was just a disappointing situation overall and I didn't like being charged an extra $100 for the removal -- even though I had specified that in the deal ahead of time."

"The installation was fast and everyone I spoke with was very thorough and always willing to explain anything I had questions about. They were tidy and on time. My water feels fantastic now and I love having separate fountain with alkaline water. I'm glad to be able to give up plastic bottle thanks Orbit. It is pricey, but it's a great investment for the future. Thanks, guys!"

"We previously had work done by this company several years ago with a bathtub overlay and were completely satisfied with the results as well as the professionalism of the company and the company installer.  So we felt that is we did have another job done we would use the same company.  We considered a Do It Yourself project of re grouting and sealing, and was not up to the project, so we called Re.Bath and asked them to do it.  The display by the salesman was done with our desires in mind and we felt very comfortable with our decision.  The measurements were accurate, the product was ordered and installed on the predicted date and done in a very professional manner.  While the price could have been lower, we felt everything turned out great and we would certainly consider the same company on future porjects.

"the co-owner came over to do the estimate--and his estimate was less than half the amount bid by one of the other 2 competitors and 1/3 less than the second runner.    The men came at the precise time that the co-owner ad said they would.  They worked steadily--a team of 5 or 6 guys--and a large team like this was able to complete the work quickly and thoroughly.  They completed the painting in two days, and were careful to cover the old paint well--doing 3 coats  when necessary (on their own accord), made the  installations listed above.  The painters were expert painters; the electrician knew about electricity, and the carpenter was expert at his trade, too. .  They arrived at around 7 a.m.on Monday and Tuesday.  On Monday they left in mid-afternoon, and on Tuesday the work was completed  in the early afternoon.  The workers were polite  and careful to lay out  the proper  tarps and coverings to keep our house clean.  .  They are probably the best painters we've had in the 30 years we've been in this house.

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

To prevent drain clogs, perform regular maintenance and cleaning. Avoid disposing of substances like grease or coffee grounds down the sink. Additionally, installing and routinely using drain strainers can help catch debris and prevent blockages from forming.

In some cases, it’s more cost-effective in the long run to replace a garbage disposal, but it depends on the specific issue you’re having and the age of your disposal. You should ask a garbage disposal repair tech for a quote to repair your appliance and then see if it would be more worthwhile to replace it. Additionally, garbage disposals last for around 15 years, so if you know your appliance is reaching that age, it’s likely better to pay for a new garbage disposal rather than sink money into repairs.

When a dishwasher discharges its wastewater, it uses a pump to quickly move a lot of water. If anything in the drain line or the garbage disposal impedes the high volume of water, it will back up into the sink through the drain or the garbage disposal. Following regular dishwasher maintenance tips like clearing clogs, keeping them cleared, and occasionally running the disposal will eliminate the problem.

Replacing a garbage disposal costs anywhere from $150 to $950, but the average cost is somewhere around $550. There are two types of garbage disposal units, and continuous feed disposals tend to cost more than batch feed disposals. Going for an aluminum garbage disposal is also significantly cheaper than choosing a stainless steel garbage disposal. You'll also need to factor in the horsepower of the motor, labor, and the removal and disposal of your old unit.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.
