"I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the commitment to delivering exemplary service. As an example, I was having a bathroom tub re-caulked. After they did it, the technician (Ben) said he didn't think the color of the standard caulk looked good, he checked in with me about it, and redid it the next day. One aspect of the project also ended up taking longer than expected and they couldn't get it done in the projected timeframe, but Ben and Marcos made sure that they were there first thing the following day to make sure it got done and I didn't have to wait weeks to get back on the schedule. They also said at the beginning that they'll leave everything as clean a they found it. I've heard that from contractors before, but this was the first time it was actually true! I couldn't have been happier with the quality of the work."

"The pieces did not ship well and the tech show me what pieces suffered the most damage. Since the furniture was not to be located in an area of the house where the damage would be seen, I asked and the tech offered to re-nail the damaged pieces. If I had done the assembling myself I would have been very annoyed and frustrated and it would have taken me several weeks to assemble all the pieces. I was in awe at how quickly the work was being done. Though costly, for the time, the caring, and the effortless assembling by the tech, trash clean-up was not included (and it was pouring rain that day). However and overall, I am a very happy with the assembling service provided by Mr. Handyman of Northern Montgomery County. I will be making a list of other items to be done around the house for an estimate."

Customers say: Super punctual

"They were absolutely outstanding in their service and attention to detail. I could not have been more satisfied with the service provided. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend this company. I have personally referred them to others and would do so in a heartbeat. The work on my house drew the attention of the neighbors who then hired them to perform services for them as well."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

A big resounding yes, hiring a contractor is 100% worth it. They bring expertise, manage permits, coordinate professions in different trades, and help avoid costly mistakes. A pro can keep your project on budget and schedule while ensuring quality work that adds value to your home.

Yes, many repair services include blade sharpening as part of the maintenance package.

You can tackle hanging Christmas lights yourself with the right tools, accessories, and a trusted friend or neighbor. You’ll need to purchase a ladder ($100 to $300), clips ($10 to $20), hooks ($10 to $15), and lights ($25 to $100 per string).

Otherwise, you should hire a trusted holiday light installer near you. You’ll pay an average price of $200 to $650, but you’ll have peace of mind knowing that the job is done correctly and safely.

Tipping contractors, builders, or general contractors is not customary or expected. Unlike many service professions where tipping is built into the payment structure, construction professionals typically charge a full rate for their services. However, you may choose to tip a worker for exceptional service, such as if they go above and beyond, stay late to meet a deadline, or work on a holiday weekend. Before offering a tip, it's a good idea to ask about the company's policy, as some prohibit their employees from accepting gratuities. If you want to show your appreciation for a job well done without giving a cash tip, consider writing a positive online review or offering to serve as a reference for potential new customers.

In most states, handypeople do not need to be licensed to perform simple home repair tasks and smaller jobs. When projects exceed specific cost amounts, however, ranging from $500 in California to $50,000 in other states, some municipalities consider them to be contractors, meaning they need to be licensed. To learn if your handyperson should be licensed to work on your job, contact your local governing body or state contractors’ licensing board before starting any work.
