"After interviewing several companies to have our kitchen remodelled, we selected VKB, and we are happy we did. VKB provided a lower estimate than other companies, and their reviews were good. As our designer, Sean was easy-going, accommodating and patient in explaining our options. He promptly created the 3d pdf files with the design of our kitchen, which were helpful to have throughout the project. Adam was in charge of our project, and his responsiveness and understanding were outstanding. At one point we were a bit unhappy with a corner cabinet, but reluctantly we felt we needed to "settle" because there was not sufficient space for a Super Susan. Adam made some research and promptly contacted us with a solution that was perfect for enhanced functionality. Last but not least, Ismar, our foreman on the job was professional, responsive, pleasant, and amazingly skilled. He and his team worked diligently on the electrical portion, cabinet installation, backsplash, appliance installation, and painting. Everyone accommodated us to the best of their ability and always left our house clean and orderly. Well done, VKB!"

"Our basement needed assurance that the existing sump pump could handle rising water levels under our home. It was recommended that we install a second sump pump alongside the existing one, with piping exiting water discharge to the outside. The Installer (Mr. Bernard W.) took care of everything in a very professional manner. His work was superb, especially clean and cosmetic in every respect. Thank you for your superior services!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Working with EZ FullRehab was an awesome experience. I made numerous appointments with contractors about ideas we had to remodel our first floor. Only EZ FullRehab stood out when I met with Jerry. First thing is, Jerry is a pro's pro meaning he is on time for his appointments and if there is any change in a schedule or meeting he always gives you enough notice. The time he spent at my house just getting the best assessment he could to give me an accurate estimate for the project showed me how knowledgeable he was about remodeling. His knowledge was second to none. He actually came up with the idea of how to take our remodeling idea to the next level. I mean from relocating windows to flipping the kitchen & the dining room. He treated the project like he was working on his own home. If you have a projected timeline (within reason) he will do his best to make sure the timeline is met. My wife was pregnant and we needed the work done before she gave birth and he got the job done. I would definitely recommend EZ FullRehab to anyone looking to do a renovation project in your home."

"Salesman was very accommodating and arranged a quick installation as the house was on the market already. Installers arrived promptly and worked quickly and efficiently. Work foreman was very easy to work with and took the time to explain everything. Work was finished in a timely manner. Work area was left clean. Two calls to the service dept. a couple of weeks later have gone unanswered. My C rating on responsiveness is a combination of an A for the sales rep and an F for the service dept."

"I bought a house in 2021 that had significant water damage leaking through the walls onto the concrete floor in the basement. After researching multiple companies around the area, I reached out to Basement Gurus. Ashley, Boni, Josh, and owner of the company Dan Kelly, all went above and beyond to make sure that there would be no more water damage. They installed a French drain, vapor barriers, and more. The owner Dan Kelly personally came out to make sure that the work got done correctly. This company is the best around, you won't be disappointed."

"Had jacks installed to raise/level the floors in the entire house and had joists sprayed to counter mold. Also leveled out dirt floor and spread the dirt to make the ground more level. Had a second crew come in that installed new fireproof crawl space insulation, insured holes in foundation were filled, covered the crawl space floors in plastic (under entire house) and installed a dehumidifier Included electrical source for the equipment). Also added replacement doors to the crawl space. Erik W.'s crew as well as Anthony M., Jeremyah S. and Carl H. on the second crew did an outstanding job, are great people, and were hard workers in extremely hot weather. Their 2 hour commute to my home (and a 2 hour return) did not slow them down. They were all very polite and accomodating and keep us informed as to their progress. They did a very good job of cleanup in the end. I highly recommend JES and would hire them again in a heartbeat. They obviously know their trade and are experts at it. HIring JES was a great decision."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.
