"I hired JES to install a trench and sump system into the basement of a new house I purchased. After the job was completed, I noticed the cellar stairwell was pooling water. They returned and said that they didn't think that the drain was run direct to the sump as it should have been but they needed to open the concrete to verify. I also asked why there was no water in the sumps. They ran tests with water for 2 hours and didn't see water and tried to explain to me that it was expected since the water was running out around the drainage under the foundation. They even had a supervisor try to explain to me over the phone when I questioned it. It took them several weeks to return to fix the cellar drain and sure enough, the pipe was just run to under the foundation and not directed into the trench/sump. A repair team came out and busted up the concrete to correct it. In doing so, they saw that their trench was also not connected to the sumps at all, which is why I never saw water in the sumps and not the mysterious theory they tried to convince me of weeks prior. This is terrible that there is no inspection of work prior to covering it totally with concrete. Or further, there was no physical test of running water in the system to verify the sump works. The repair team that came out were wonderful and did everything correct. After this, I called 3 times and asked for a manager to call me to discuss this and never received a response. The salesman stopped answering my calls. As a note, after spending $30K on this upgrade to my house, it was in worse risk than prior to JES so if you choose them, be careful."

"DMV has been excellent in kitchen and bath remodeling. They did a wonderful job renovating our two baths and kitchen in 2014. Their customer care and pricing is commendable. More recently in 2024 we had more remodeling tasks done by DMV under excellent supervision of Jordi. Even now when we need some minor improvements needed Jordi is very helpful to find time to get it done. We strongly recommend DMV for kitchen and bath remodeling .They are excellent under the management of Javier, and exceptional onsite supervision by Jordi!"

"Our place had good bones but didn’t work for our daily life. Every room felt cut off from the next. Ben and Teddy from Top Remodeling sat with us and came up with a better layout without changing the size of the home. They moved the hallway, opened the living area, and added a custom touch in almost every room. They rebuilt the inside from the studs and used solid-core doors and clean finishes. We went with soft white walls, bronze handles, and natural maple cabinets. Now, it all feels open and calm. Every room has a purpose."

"We had our master and hall baths completely gutted and rebuilt. We bid the project out to several companies, and DMV was immediately the most helpful. Pricing was very competitive. Luis and the team completed both bathrooms in about 6 weeks - and this was a full demo. The crew was extremely kind and courteous, and worked hard to minimize the mess and impact to our home. One weekend we had a party, and they helped make our home look like there wasn’t a major project in-progress! Craftsmanship was impeccable. The tile work in particular is beautiful - details I hadn’t even thought of were done for me. Like any job, we had some changes to scope (our choice), and some minor hiccups. They were extremely helpful navigating through scope changes, and more than fair on pricing. And on the minor hiccups, they made it extra clear that the job wouldn’t be wrapped until we were satisfied - and that’s what happened. Honestly this experience was a 10 out of 10, and I hope we can have them out for another project soon. Our bathrooms went from blight to bling in 6 weeks - I look forward to getting ready now!"

AES worked with us on a few small changes we requested along the way as well. I felt very comfortable with all the craftsperson’s at work in our home. Jim was engaged at every step of the way, and the foreman was experienced, hard-working, professional, and communicative. "We write this review as a sigh of relief now that our renovation project with River View is finally complete. The quality of the final work is excellent, and the construction crew, architect, and county inspector were all great to work with. The original crew we worked with, led by Edwin, were so hardworking, friendly, thorough, and fast. That's what really pushed us from 2 to 3 stars. However, the process getting here was frustrating and unnecessarily chaotic. Timeline & Communication Issues: Initial promise: We were clear that the renovation had to allow us to live in our home during construction and be completed before Christmas. Early communication: Our original project manager, Cris, was personable, and early communication seemed fine, if a bit informal and sometimes inappropriately personal. Major miscommunication: Near the holidays, we discovered that the plans submitted included cutting into the roof — something we explicitly said we didn’t want. This contradicted verbal assurances and caused major last-minute changes. Project Management Failures: Poor planning and oversight: Cris and the architect’s plan didn’t align with the construction work. We had to get involved directly with the county to fix errors. Paperwork errors: Incorrect submissions to the county added delays and confusion, which we had to monitor ourselves. Last-minute scramble: We were cleaning up dust on Christmas Eve due to these planning failures. Personnel Turnover & Lack of Handoff: Cris leaves the company: No proper handover to James, the new PM, who was unfamiliar with our project. Crew replaced: The original crew, who were great, were gone; new crew had no context or direction. James leaves: Another handoff with no context — the third PM had no idea about our project or its outstanding items. Escalation mishandled: When we raised our concerns with Kyle, the CEO, the response felt dismissive, with no accountability for the previous missteps. In summary, it's a beautiful end result... but we’re glad it’s over. The process left us frustrated, confused, and frankly, exhausted."
