"After months of hemming and hawing and getting quotes, I finally went with Hollywood Junk to haul away my old washer and dryer. I m so glad I did! They gave me the best price and could do it the next day. Then when the weather started looking bad, they contacted me and came to get them early - the same day I called. I was able to get my car in the garage before the snow came. Steve was super nice and professional. I would use this company again in a heartbeat."

Small jobs welcome

"This company was great. They called right away. I explained my job. I sent pictures. I had a quote within an hour. I had a very old huge TV on the second floor and a big couch with 2 recliners on the first floor. Their prices were very reasonable. They gave me choice of pick up dates. I chose the second day after my call. They checked in that morning to confirm. They called when they were on their way. They were on time, very professional, pleasant very careful of my property. The TV had to be 300lbs but they got it down my small high staircase within damage to walls or steps. They cut the couch into pieces to easily remove. Cleaned up & were gone in less than an hour. I was very happy. I highly recommend this company â â â â â"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

Dirt and other debris from land clearing, such as stumps and rocks, are considered construction debris in some states. What qualifies as construction debris varies from state to state, but it generally refers to any materials produced in the process of building, renovating, or demolishing structures.

Depending on where you live and how much furniture you’re disposing of, you could schedule a large item collection with your municipal trash pick-up services, hire a junk removal company, or rent a dumpster.

It's important to consider your home's condition to see if it's fit for the extreme stress of being lifted. There are two different methods typically used during lifting a house: raising or underpinning. While both are tried-and-true ways to lift a house, your home will likely withstand some disruption to walls, floors, and ceilings like cracking drywall.

Clearing land can be incredibly challenging, depending on various factors like the size of the area, the density of vegetation, and the presence of obstacles, such as rocks or stumps. Handling smaller vegetation and brush might be manageable with the right tools and preparation. However, tasks like removing larger trees or dealing with extensive overgrowth may require specialized equipment, expertise, and safety precautions.

If you plan to make bathroom updates in the near future, try to lump in a few smaller projects with your shower door installation. Most contractors charge a flat rate for smaller projects like updating a fixture. If you lump it in with other projects, you may not have to pay an additional visit fee. Projects to consider doing when you replace your shower door include:

  • Replacing the tile in your shower

  • Updating the showerhead

  • Updating other bathroom fixtures

  • Minor repairs, like fixing small leaks and worn caulk

  • Installing water-safe recessed lighting in your shower
