"They showed up on time. Quickly assessed the issues. Was very detailed and explained what needed to be done. Only issue was it started to rain and they had to get different cement for the chimney. That was not their fault. Just circumstances. "

Hi lic and insured plumber in all phases of plumbing and heating service , we charge travel one way up to a 1/2 hr.

"The cost was far more than I had expected. I should have gotten another estimate before hiring these people. The toilet was installed well, but the shower head was left with far too much play where it came out of the wall. He said he didn't have time to make it secure and to call the plumber who had originally put it in. I called the original plumber who was horrified to find an installation left so badly done, so he fixed it on the spot, even though it was past his work time. The original plumber said that the head of a screw inside the wall had been broken off in removing the shower head. I am finishing this review two days later. Over those two days I have been barraged by texts, emails, telephone call claiming that the check I gave him has not cleared, according to his accountant. I verified with my bank that the check had been cleared and deposited into his business account. Mr Buccelli assured me that was not the case and said he was coming over immediately for a check. We use the same bank which further verified to me that the check is in his business account. After two days of what approached intimidation, he now claims it was a different client. I was really uncomfortable at the thought of this angry man appearing at my door."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

No, you shouldn't cap a gas pipe with a compression fitting because they aren't designed for gas lines and can pose serious safety risks. Gas pipes require threaded caps that create a secure, leak-proof seal capable of handling gas pressure. Using a compression fitting could lead to dangerous gas leaks—a hazard you definitely want to avoid.

The effect a gas fireplace has on your gas bill will depend on how often you use it, the size of the rooms you’re heating with it, and the BTUs of the fireplace itself, but generally speaking, it should only cost a few cents an hour to run it when it’s on. It will consume minimal energy when it’s “off” if you have a pilot light running constantly, but some modern gas fireplaces don’t require a constant pilot light.

Some people don’t like the look of gas fireplaces since they don’t offer the classic charm or appeal of a wood-burning fire. Plus, gas fireplace installation is more expensive than other types of fireplace installations due to the added complexity of working with gas lines. There’s also a chance that gas could get into your home, which is a major health and safety risk.

You’ll need to increase your budget. Since you will likely need a new outlet, factor in $120 to $200 for it. If your gas company needs to run a new gas line to your oven, expect a charge between $200 to $2,000.

Plumbers typically install gas lines. When hiring a plumber, you should make sure that they have the proper licenses and credentials. While you can hire any plumber to complete this task, you may consider hiring a natural gas line plumber who specializes in moving gas lines. They’ll have extensive experience completing similar projects.
