"When Eversource relocated my gas meter, they discovered several â violations", and shut off the gas (this was in January). Tim agreed to come out the following day. He arrived with two trucks and two men, ready to work. Needless to say, I wasnâ t expecting such a response. After assessing the situation, the technicians solved my problems by noon. The workmanship was outstanding. I cannot recommend them more highly. They literally saved my butt."

"Excellent service from beginning to end. I first called to request the service, I could not speak with any members, but they promptly returned my call, understood the request and made an appointment. The day of service, the technician arrived on time and explained the work to be done and eventually his findings. He was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. He also gave us tips on how to better maintain the system for improved performance. Overall, excellent service. We highly recommend then and we will definitely use them again"

"Joseph from Bob's Chimney was absolutely amazing. We originally called these professionals to get our chimney repointed. Joseph came on-site and informed us that our chimney was, in fact, too severely degraded to be repointed. We had crumbling bricks, and the cement holding them together was likely to disintegrate. We had three options: to replace the chimney and install a new one, remove the chimney, and have a general contractor construct a wall in its place, or to have the chimney stuccoed to hold over the reconstruction of the chimney. We ultimately chose the last option. Joseph and his team came in early, stuccoed the old chimney, and repaired our smoke chamber. The results are beautiful."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Built-in gas grills typically have a life span of 10 to 15 years. However, their longevity can vary based on quality, usage frequency, climate conditions, and maintenance routines. High-quality models made from durable materials tend to last longer. Additionally, regular cleaning, covering the grill when not in use, and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning burners and replacing worn-out parts can extend its life. A well-maintained built-in gas grill can provide excellent performance and memorable cooking experiences for a decade or more, making it a worthwhile investment for outdoor cooking enthusiasts.

Yes, professional services include proper fuel line connection and ventilation to meet safety codes.

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.
