"Joe and Silmac were hired to do a complete gut and renovation of my master bath to something sleek and modern that my designer and I had put together. I got the recommendation for Joe from a friend who did two bathroom renos with him and the work was beautiful. This bathroom scale was much larger and the quality of the work was top notch. Joe is a perfectionist and it shows, he wants it done perfectly and for you to be happy. I even tacked on adding a wall and enclosing my office space part way through the bathroom and Joe executed that with speed and helped me to make some fast decisions. Joe is responsible obtaining all the necessary permits and inspections and hires quality people. The final product of the bathroom is just what I dreamed. The only major snag we encountered was the shower glass supplier (who was not Joes usual supplier) encountered some delays in the delivery and it impacted timing for the final completion of the project. I’d recommend Silmac again wholeheartedly!"

"I can't recommend the Curtice Group enough! We did a kitchen renovation, including design and construction, with them in 2024 and the process was quick, the team was extremely communicative, and the end product is gorgeous! In October 2023, we started the design process with them to see what would be possible with our kitchen area that was out-of-date and not functional for our family.Eric Curtice came by a few times to do thorough measurements of our space in order to render some designs for us to look through. Scott, the owner, gave us a breakdown of costs; he was very practical about what he thought was important and what was not, balancing need with price. It was so refreshing to get such a granular view of exact costs before diving into a renovation project. After design, we decided to go forth with construction, which kicked off in early January 2024. Scott's team set us up a temporary kitchen (including a dishwasher) which made living under construction so easy. The project manager, Shawn, was there every single weekday, and Scott came at the start of most weeks to check on progress. The Curtice Group team were incredibly communicative the entire time, giving us updates via email about timeline and costs. We were done with our project by mid-March (just 2.5 months!) and we're thrilled with the end result. Even better, we came in a little under budget. You should absolutely hire this group. We'll definitely be calling them for future projects!"

We were looking for someone to help with knocking down walls, gut renovating a kitchen and two bathrooms, as well as doing flooring and some work in bedrooms. This review pertains to the quote process. Eric Dutra was very responsive and professional throughout the process, offering insight and past experience as part of the quote. Furthermore, he gave a very detailed and transparent breakdown of the pricing on a line item basis. The pricing seemed very fair and jived with other quotes. we received. We ended up selecting another contractor due to time constraints, but would certainly look at D & R Construction for any future work."

"Master Bathroom Remodel. Last fall we decided to remodel our master bathroom. The original design was implemented in the early 90’s and included a huge jacuzzi tub, but with todays higher cost of living and efforts to conserve our natural resources, it was no longer practical. Also, the small, rectangular bathroom had a jacuzzi tub which was a space robber that sacrificed areas for actual bathroom necessities such as storage and counter space. A full remodel was totally warranted! As a designer, I knew that the floor plan would remain the same for the most part because the plumbing is already there and there are a few electric sockets to move around as well. The shower is small, and kept in place. It will be retiled (with a built-in niche to hold shampoo and soap bottles) with a new door and new shower fixtures. The whole bathroom will be torn out to the studs, and replaced with new cabinets and finishes. I went to a kitchen designer with my ideas to make a conceptual layout and elevations so that I would get measurements of what I wanted as an end product. I had all the materials ordered and ready to go. I now needed someone to implement the job. I get several bids on the project and we settled on Jeff Veglia. He provided us with a competitive price and was very helpful during his first onsite consultation. We found him to be down to earth, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and receptive to our ideas and needs, so we felt very comfortable choosing him to do the work. From deconstruction to finish, the whole project ran smoothly and on time. The price he quoted us was the price he performed the work for. We are very pleased with the quality of the work. His crew and sub-contractors were friendly, courteous, professional, and very respectful of us and our home; especially during these trying times with Covid issues. All the rough work and finishes were completed with the utmost professionalism, talent and an eye for detail. We felt comfortable in our home with his entire crew. We thoroughly recommend Jeff Veglia and his crew for any project you can dream up! They more than made every effort to have our project turn out as we specified. Jeff was available for every one of our calls and questions. We enjoyed the remodeling experience with this company and we are totally pleased with the results and cost.
