"NYP plumbing ????? NYP was hired by my Contractor John Barrett to do all new plumbing in my bathroom renovation as well as install shower fixtures, sink fixtures, and toilet. • Nick and his helper installed a toilet with a large scratch on it and did not point it out to me. Ok they might have missed it or they may have scratched it as it was a brand new toilet they they took out of the box and carried inside and upstairs from the garage. Either way it needed to be replaced. • NYP plumbing installed several fixtures is my shower that had holes cut in the tile too large for the fixtures to cover them. This is an error on the tile installer however this should have been pointed out to me by Nick. Instead NYP passed it off as finished work and left without bringing it to my attention and told me everything was done. Issue not fully resolved by NYP as they only came back to uninstall the fixtures. • my contractor contacted NYP and asked them to return to take out the toilet and uninstall the shower fixtures. They returned the next day took out the toilet, installed the replacement, and uninstalled all of the shower fixtures. • after “completing” the job We discovered shower head pipe was extremely wobbly so the work they did behind the tile was not completed properly and the contractor had to cut a hole in the wall behind the shower to fix the issue. My contractor fixed this issue on a Saturday as we discovered this mistake late and at this point I did not want them returning to do anything. • I don’t have cold water in my shower now due to improper installation of thermostatic temperature valve. Issue not resolved by NYP. Nick was adamant that everything was installed correctly, even though it clearly was not, and anything not working is the manufacturer’s fault Besides everything that they did improperly and without integrity, Nick and his helper showed up at my home, did not knock or ring and walked in without masks on. After realizing they were in my home and seeing them in the bathroom working without any face covering I had to ask them to put masks on to which Nick stated he would not wear one. So after insisting they wear a mask or leave they went to their truck put on masks and continued work. Also, Either Nick or his helper called me a “Wash” on day 1 after I checked in with them to see how work was going. This is a derogatory name given to new people who move here by small-minded people who grew up here and apparently don’t like outsiders. Anyway either Nick or his helper felt the need to call me a childish negative name. LMAO I will not have NYP in my home again and neither should you! ?????"

Family owned & operated. Customer service is a part of all businesses, but it is all of our business. Customer service is the ability of an organization to constantly and consistently give the customer what they want and need. The mission of this company when it was founded here in Osterville over 80 years ago was to serve the customers with honest, affordable and reliable service. Over the years we have made an effort to provide the best service possible to our customers. It is the people of the company that determines its success. We still remain a family run corporation with an extremely highly trained group of professional technicians. As a company, we are making a promise to consistently deliver quality service to you. Over the eighty years in business our customers have come to rely on it. Simply seeing the logo or hearing the name tells our customers the product or service is worth the investment. Cost is determined by the job. Additional DBA - Advanced Water Systems. Additional phone - (508) 428-1888. Award winning.

"Called to have a boiler that is less than 7 years old cleaned. It’s easily accessible. I have mentioned that the pipes were banging at the far end of the house when the heat came up. The technician came and went, never mentioned the need for any new parts. I was shocked to see I was billed $784.00. Three hours and fifteen minutes at $195.00 an hour and the remainder for parts. For a seasonal cleaning ? You call that efficient and professional ?"

We are dedicated to providing customers with quality service and installation at competitive prices. We have a fully licensed staff ready and willing to handle all your heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing needs. Additional contact name - Patrick M Judge. Award winning Super Service Award.

"As a 14 year customer, it is sad to see HPHC in operation. Perhaps it was an ownership change but our first problem was when we returned to our home on a December Sunday: no heat and it was 50 and falling. We called the advertised "24/7 Emergency" service. And called and called and called. No one showed up for 24 hours. We are loyal customers, so we excused that. Now, for two weeks (and two heat spells, the third starting) we have been without a/c. A service tech came out, confirmed that our first floor unit had to be replaced and told us he would have his office give us a quote on price and installation time. We never got a call and when we did, we were treated as if we "misunderstood" the tech and had just sat in the heat but we DID get a new appointment for another person to show up to give us an estimate and, no, we could not be told or even given an estimate for installation. Asking for a supervisor, a Mr. Willey, we were told he was "unavailable" but would call us right back. That was 4 days ago. We are done with this outfit. If you need a dependable and polite company to take care of your heat, a/c or generator needs, you should check out others. HPHC is, to put it mildly, overstetched and overcommitted."

Founded in 1971 by Freeman Winslow, E.F. Winslow began as a small plumbing company. Today, E.F. Winslow has proven itself as Cape Cod's most reliable service company for plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, septic, oil delivery, central vacuum, remodeling and kitchen and bath design.

"Unresponsive and Unprofessional. Workers didn't show when they said they would. They did not finish the job, but told me they did. Left trash everywhere. They also installed an outdoors unit on my neighbor's property and want me to pay $7,500 to move it. This would have just been a simple fix, but they have been making it extremely difficult leaving me no choice but to file a complaint against their license and their bond."

Gas Leak Repair questions, answered by experts

Yes. There are a variety of standard pipe sizes used in plumbing. The main supply line connecting your home to the street is either 3/4 or 1 inch in diameter. Supply lines are 3/4 inch in diameter. Individual components are 1/2 inch in diameter. Meanwhile, your main drainpipe is often 4 inches wide. Most shower and bathtub drains are 2 inches in diameter, most toilet drains are 3 inches in diameter, and most sink drainpipes are 1 1/4 or 1 ½ inches in diameter.

Yes, flexible tubing and high-efficiency gas lines are options for new installations.

Yes, professional services typically include venting, gas line installation, and necessary permits.

Some natural gas furnaces can be converted to propane with a conversion kit, but not all models are compatible. Consult a licensed HVAC pro to determine if conversion is possible and cost-effective for your system. The process involves changes to burner orifices and safety controls, and must be completed to code.

Even if you invested in the cost of a gas shut-off valve for your oven and other appliances, it’s a good idea to add a seismic shut-off valve as an extra safety measure.

Gas shut-off valves for appliances are manual, meaning someone has to cut off the flow of gas. This leaves room for error, as you might not be home or might be too distracted to think about gas lines during an earthquake. An earthquake valve is automatic and will protect your home from gas-related disasters in the event of an earthquake.
