NYP plumbing ????? NYP was hired by my Contractor John Barrett to do all new plumbing in my bathroom renovation as well as install shower fixtures, sink fixtures, and toilet. • Nick and his helper installed a toilet with a large scratch on it and did not point it out to me. Ok they might have missed it or they may have scratched it as it was a brand new toilet they they took out of the box and carried inside and upstairs from the garage. Either way it needed to be replaced. • NYP plumbing installed several fixtures is my shower that had holes cut in the tile too large for the fixtures to cover them. This is an error on the tile installer however this should have been pointed out to me by Nick. Instead NYP passed it off as finished work and left without bringing it to my attention and told me everything was done. Issue not fully resolved by NYP as they only came back to uninstall the fixtures. • my contractor contacted NYP and asked them to return to take out the toilet and uninstall the shower fixtures. They returned the next day took out the toilet, installed the replacement, and uninstalled all of the shower fixtures. • after “completing” the job We discovered shower head pipe was extremely wobbly so the work they did behind the tile was not completed properly and the contractor had to cut a hole in the wall behind the shower to fix the issue. My contractor fixed this issue on a Saturday as we discovered this mistake late and at this point I did not want them returning to do anything. • I don’t have cold water in my shower now due to improper installation of thermostatic temperature valve. Issue not resolved by NYP. Nick was adamant that everything was installed correctly, even though it clearly was not, and anything not working is the manufacturer’s fault Besides everything that they did improperly and without integrity, Nick and his helper showed up at my home, did not knock or ring and walked in without masks on. After realizing they were in my home and seeing them in the bathroom working without any face covering I had to ask them to put masks on to which Nick stated he would not wear one. So after insisting they wear a mask or leave they went to their truck put on masks and continued work. Also, Either Nick or his helper called me a “Wash” on day 1 after I checked in with them to see how work was going. This is a derogatory name given to new people who move here by small-minded people who grew up here and apparently don’t like outsiders. Anyway either Nick or his helper felt the need to call me a childish negative name. LMAO I will not have NYP in my home again and neither should you! ?????
Response from NYP Plumbing and Heating LLC
"Wow [Member Name Removed]. In my almost 20 years of doing this work, this is the first time I've had such bad remarks on myself and my business. As you can see from the many reviews on here alone, I make sure that we do our work with quality and integrity. We clearly did not see the 1" scratch on your toilet, but did replace it immediately upon your request. We did point out the issues around the tile with both you and the contractor. In fact, you and I did a complete walkthrough as you operated the shower controls and were satisfied upon our departure. Since we were not the ones to return to reinstall the shower fixtures (we were not called to return) how can we now be responsible for them not working properly? The first day you let us enter the home, we knocked on the door and you welcomed us in with no problem. In fact, you weren't wearing a mask yourself. As far as any derogatory comments are concerned, I cannot recall any being made. We maintain a professional work ethic, especially in people's homes. We strive on excellence and integrity and will do what needs to be done to keep a customer happy. In this particular case, we were not given the opportunity."

Nick Perris and his helper Dillon did great work. They arrived when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves and installed a great new heating system. Nick has been very good with communication and very easy to deal with. He is very detail oriented, and the quality of his work shows. This is the second time I’ve used NYP Plumbing and Heating, and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Nick was extremely punctual, professional and did quality work. I just got natural gas run to my house and had NYP Plumbing and Heating install the new gas lines inside to connect with a new range (that he also installed) and an existing fireplace insert that he converted over from LP. I will be converting my heating system soon from oil to gas, and I will definitely consider NYP for the job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nick to anyone.

Nick was great. There was a leak in our kitchen ceiling coming from the bathroom above. He quickly figured out what the issue was and repaired the pipe that had a small hole in it. He also replaced some old faucets for me. Very professional, expert work done quickly. I will be using him for all work needed in the future.

Nick was responsive, professional and competitively priced. Responsiveness on the cape, is very much appreciated, since most service personnel will rarely call a customer back.

Nick was punctual and professional. He found all of the ruptured lines and repaired them. He also purchased and installed a new kitchen faucet for me all under 2 hours. I hope I don't have any more catastrophic plumbing problems, but I am pleased with the service provided by NYP Plumbing.

Nick and his assistant are very responsive and care about details of their work. He spent extra time to look for specs of the stove and calculated the right pipe size. The work was done in an very efficient manner. Nick also explained a lot while doing the work so I had a much better idea of the entire system. I am very satisfied with him.

The dishwasher came in, and it was damaged. He was on call a couple of times. He was very flexible. When the dishwasher was delayed for a week, he took it in stride. When it came in, he was Johnnie on the spot, right away. Fabulous. Beautiful work.

Nick arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem. He also found a crack in the PVC drain pipe (which had been leaking under the counter) and informed us that the disposal had been installed without a trap, contrary to code (resulting in backup sewer smell). He cleared the faucet obstruction within the hour (gaskets had eroded) and then fabricated new PVC piping for the other two unforeseen problems. He also fixed a stem leak on an outdoor faucet. The additional work took a second hour, for which he charged the discount rate. Very satisfied.

Nick was very professional and very informative on how the gas boiler and water heater work in sync for maximum output and reduce cost. Would recommend.

Outstanding! We had found NYP on Angie's List and called late in the day today, not expecting a return call until tomorrow. A short time later, Nick called us back and asked a few questions about the situation. Nick told us that our house is on his way home and that he could come by in just a little over an hour! Nick got right to work and did some tests to replicate what was going on. First, he was able to rule out any problem with the septic piping, which was a major relief. Then, he was able to figure out how to do a backwash on the water filter which replicated how the water was spilling onto the basement floor. Nick diagnosed the cause of the problem accurately and then adjusted the water filter hose to drain directly into the white pvc piping and the problem was solved - and very efficiently at that.

We were very satisfied with the whole experience. Nick answered his phone on a holiday, asked us some questions about the jobs, then agreed to come the next day at a time more convenient for us than for him. He arrived on time, worked carefully, neatly, and efficiently. I had zero cleanup to do after he left. The total time was 2hrs which included working with our property maintenance supervisor to shut off building systems and drain down one floor, to make a run for parts, and to bring building systems back online and testing his work and insuring the new solder would hold. He required payment that day which I expected and he emailed me a professionally itemized receipt later that day. The cost of the job was very reasonable.

I phoned at 3:00 PM and left a message. Nick returned the call within 30 min. and we made an appointment for 8:00 AM the next morning ( he offered to get here at 7 but I don't get up that early). He arrived on time and went right to work. It was a tough fix as there was very little PEX sticking through the wall. All told the job took less than an hour. He left the area clean and tidy. I will certainly call him for any future problems.

Nick did a terrific job. He worked quickly and efficiently and it was obvious he does quality work. He was courteous and prompt and a pleasure to deal with. Even the town permit inspector commented on how well the job was done. He will certainly be the person we'll call for any future plumbing needs, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic...... I have found that on the Cape it is often difficult to get prompt, knowledgeable and cost effective service from contractors. Nick was a ray of sunshine and I would highly recommend his services.
