"They haven't finished the job yet but I am very impressed with what I've seen. My new carpets were covered before the job started! Trim was replaced where my animals scratched. Old plumbing was replaced. My bath floor was replaced with real tile, not a laminate. Jason and I have the same taste so the colors he chose for paint were gorgeous. More to come ..."

Small jobs welcome

"I was referred to Tony to help with a project I had. I contacted him and found him to be knowledgeable, friendly and happy to help. I made an appointment for his first available slot and was more than happy with the job done. They arrived early, the job was done in a timely manner and everything was thoroughly checked again before they left. I am extremely happy with his work and have recommended him to friends and family and will be calling him again for any future projects."

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

The cost to have your house decorated for Christmas depends on the extent of your holiday vision. Interior decorators charge between $50 and $150 per hour on average, so if your decorations are minimal, you could pay as little as $200 for a couple of hours of decorating. Interior decorators might also bill $5 to $12 per square foot, or a flat rate of $500 to $1,300 per room. You can also pay to have your Christmas tree professionally decorated for an average of $200 to $600. Contact a local interior decorator for a specific quote.

Yes, you can hang Christmas lights from the soffit of your roof, but it requires a bit more effort than hanging from the gutters or eaves. You’ll need to add an adhesive hook or tie to the underside of the soffit to keep the lights in place. Consider adding a soffit hook every 12 to 18 inches for best visual results.

Yes, a holiday lighting installation can be a DIY project. While it is possible for homeowners to do it themselves, it's crucial to ensure all safety precautions are taken. This includes using the proper tools, following electrical safety guidelines, and carefully planning the layout. For large or high displays, professional installation is often recommended to ensure safety and a more polished appearance.

It's safe to hang Christmas lights from gutters with a few considerations. First, when installing the lights, follow safe ladder-use guidelines and avoid getting onto the roof. Second, for best results and the integrity of your lights, use clips to keep the bulbs away from inside the gutters where they could run into trouble with water or ice.

How many string lights can be on one outlet depends on a number of varying factors, including the total wattage of your circuit, the type of lights, the energy needs of the lights, and cord specifications. It’s better to play it safe here to protect your circuit, so figure out the max wattage of your circuit, compare that to the lights, and move on from there. Generally speaking, LED string lights require less energy than incandescent bulbs, translating to a higher number of lights per circuit.
