Susan is remarkable. She will work with anything that may already be in the house, as well as your budget for a project. She provides so many great ideas about space, but also lets you choose how you want to proceed. Susan is extremely collaborative and I really, really enjoyed working with her. I absolutely love the spaces she greatly assisted me in designing. Itâ s EXACTLY what I didnâ t even know I wanted! Sheâ s amazing!

I had just moved into a new apt after my mother died and i sold the house - it made it an especially important place for me as i wanted it to inspire me to move on and find happiness. I had tons of ideas lots of emotions and Susan worked with them all and wasn't afraid to reel me in or let me explore when it felt right. I am an artist too and she allowed me to be one while guiding me through the process. To me, the results are the most stunning home that feels the most like ME and who i want to BE that i have ever lived in. and i NEVER could have done it w/o her ;-)

Susan gave me hope and had a vision when I did not! We were trying to reconfigure our 2 young kidsâ (3 yo girl, 4 year old boy) small bedroom in the South End and allow us to live comfortably for a few more years in it! Being an engineer by training, she brings an objective and scientific approach to offer design options that achieve the right balance of rigor, pragmatism, and aesthetic appeal. I worked with Susan to design the interior space of my condo in Brookline. The unit was cold, plain white, and almost industrial in appearance. Susan worked with me patiently to find the right colors for the walls, rugs for the floors, furniture, window treatments, bathroom fittings, and accessories to transform it and make it feel like a home. She assisted me in shopping trips to furniture stores, rug stores, window treatment outlets and stores that carried rightly priced accessories. She advised me on color choices which was a great learning experience for me. She also researched and offered options at online outlets to buy certain pieces of furniture. I was also able to leverage the trade discounts available to her by working with her, which notably helped reduce the cost of window treatments for my unit. I am extremely pleased with the rug she helped me pick for my living room as it has a medley of vibrant yet soft colors and designs that are amazingly pleasing to the senses and spark resilience and warmth when I enter my living room after a long work day. Susan is also extremely knowledgeable and generous in sharing many tips, tricks and solutions for fixing problems or getting around gaps that I encountered in my new place. For example, the shower in the bathroom was beautiful with marvelous tiling but lacked the necessary shelving to hold bath products. Susan gave me three distinct options with their pros and cons to address this issue and the information she summarized for me was instrumental in informing my approach to bridge this gap in a way that achieved the perfect balance of practical comfort and aesthetic appeal. This is one of many examples of how her engineering mindset coupled with sophistication in interior design work brought tangible value. Susan is amazingly organized and carefully records her work methodically using the Milanote app for collaborative work with her clients. Being a professional with an active work schedule including travels, I was particular about the days and times when I was available for design consultation meetings and shopping trips. Susan was understanding and accommodated my needs. Susan is a very resilient, self-aware and astute professional with a great sense of humor. She builds trust and listens actively to understand the needs of her clients. She regularly watched out for blind spots in my field of vision and advised me proactively to carefully re-consider certain choices I was leaning towards initially (e.g., wall colors) to ensure that I did not prematurely select something sub-optimal for my space that could have clashed with other design choices I had already made. Not being knowledgeable in the principles of interior design, I appreciated this proactive advisory approach she took to safeguard the quality of my design selections. We were open and honest about our expectations and preferences with each other and she was perfectly fine with my brutal honesty and allowed me to express my likes and dislikes throughout our work together. Iâ m grateful for the opportunity I had to work with Susan and highly recommend her services for interior design. After a kitchen remodel and removal of interior walls to create a more open space, Susan was wonderful in helping us translate our ideas into a cohesive vision and plan, We now have the more modern yet warm and inviting feel we wanted.

Susan is a complete gem. She is smart, funny, and incredibly talented. We were able to take my first floor and do a major "refresh" on a budget and in a timely fashion. We took a dated and dark living room, dining room, entry way and made it really look current, fresh and bright. We also redid the powder room and brightened the kitchen and first floor office. All of this within a budget! It looks like a brand new house. I actually do not want to move now! I'd hire her again and again. Can't say enough about her professionalism and vision.

Susan simply transformed our home into a space thatâ s a joy to live, work and play in. Our condo had a great layout, but we knew we werenâ t using it well. Our two office spaces were dark and cramped, our living room dining room and kitchen were just meh, and our kids ended up taking over our living room with toys and Pokémon cards because they didnâ t really have another space that worked for them. Susan totally reconfigured both of our offices- which has transformed WFH into a joy- and turned two embarrassing zoom backgrounds into â wowâ inspiring backgrounds. With just a coat of paint, a couple of inexpensive furniture purchases, and a really reasonable rug, our Living room, Dining room and Kitchen just â popâ . Walking into the front door and seeing the new layout continues to bring a smile every time. It also helps that Susan enabled us to rearrange the kids space, and she unlocked a ton of valuable play space by helping us to add massive storage to our finished basement area. And all of this work was done within a very modest budget, with Susan helping us to identify cost effective ways to get all of this done. We could not be happier with the work Susan did, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

Work: Rethink of kitchen and pantry storage and refresh dining room function/ paint color and added storage to bathroom I think Susan did the impossible. She found a cost effective solution for our moderately sized condo kitchen/pantry which increased the work surface as well as visible shelve and draw storage for my husband by 4 fold - all while maintaining my need for order and simplicity and reduced clutter. In addition she found a storage piece, second hand, which is beautiful, functional and extremely well priced. She listened carefully to what we each needed individually and came up with solutions that I would never have been able to do on my own. I look forward to teaming up with her for future projects.

Susan is wonderful. She is organized, thoughtful and gets things done so quickly. Our condo was disjointed and frankly ugly and uncomfortable when we hired Susan. Within weeks we had rearranged existing furniture, bought a new living room rug, ordered window treatments, designed benches and storage cabinets and were given many new furniture ideas. Project: Renovation/Design of several rooms My home renovation was well underway and not going as well as I wanted when I found Susan.
