"So I had a water heater that was totaled, went on Angi, I was recommended A&B plumbing, AL came on Memorial Day, didn’t charge me extra for the holiday, I was expecting he take out the old heater and come back tomorrow, but not AL he came back the same day and installed a new water heater. "Anyone that needs a clogged drain taken care of, do yourself a favor and call Honest Drain. I called at 7:45 am and the expert was at my home at 9:15 am. Schrader valves are also commonly known as American valves or simply car valves since they're often used in tires for bicycles and motor vehicles. The valve gets its name from the company that created it, the Schrader company, following its invention in 1891. It was later patented in the U.S. in 1893.

The air admittance valve, or AAV, is a spring-loaded mini-vent that sits right next to your washer. It acts in place of a standard vent stack connection, opening to let air into the drain whenever pressure builds up. It otherwise stays closed to prevent sewer gas from escaping into your home. This gives the washer’s plumbing system the air it needs when water enters or drains.

Draining is the process of removing sediment buildup that has accumulated at the bottom of your hot water heater’s tank. Flushing is a more elaborate process that involves running fresh water through the tank to clean the inside thoroughly. You should at least drain your hot water heater once per year and flush it every other year—better yet, alternate between draining and flushing every six months.

An AC drip pan may stop draining if there’s a clog where the drip pan connects to the drain line. Clogs can form from a lack of cleaning or from rust or corrosion buildup. Cleaning the drip pan at least once per month lowers the chances of debris clogging the drain line.

Because plumbing repairs are wide-ranging in scope, job completion time may vary from a few hours or several days. Simple jobs such as clearing a clog, replacing a garbage disposal, or repairing a toilet will only take an hour or two. Large jobs that require digging up yards and checking pipes may take upward of one or two weeks.
