"Communication about the project before beginning the job, with Paul Adkins  was good...I viewed other houses they painted and liked their work.
Paul Adkins and his crew of Bruno and Joe accomplished the prep work they promised, scraped, sanded and primed, used the quality Benjamin Moore primer and paint we selected,caulked all the windows, replaced numerous old damaged shingles, turned over the front deck boards, repaired, sanded them, repaired broken down stair railings, and also replaced damaged  rear deck boards, replaced 3 window sills, and screwed back the leaking aluminum gutter, sealing it with silicone. Accomplishing these carpentry projects made a huge difference.
Paul and his crew delivered more than we expected, and we were delighted when they finished the job by washing all the exterior storm windows and doors.
It now looks like a new house. They lived up to their stated mission of "Meticulous Prep Work, and Fine Finish Painting."

"Our house was in desperate need of exterior paint, and the shingles were in bad shape. We got a lot of estimates, but Brian seemed the most knowledgeable and the most reasonable in terms of cost. He and his crew were very professional and, even better, very responsive to our texts and phone calls (something that is unusual in any contractor). This is the first time we've had to have a house painted, and naturally we had a lot of questions. Brian was extremely patient with us and answered all our questions and offered us aesthetic advice as well, that always ended up being the right thing to do! He even helped us pick out the right stain for our stairs, by buying samples himself and painting examples on different steps. When we had concerns, Brian always addressed them immediately, and those that he couldn't address right away due to weather or other circumstances, he promised to address at a later date. We have found very few contractors that are so flexible and willing to work with the client to get the job done right. We love the way our house looks (as do the neighbors!), and we highly recommend Brian."

The exterior staining was a difficult project as my home had not been stained in many years and many shingles had to be replaced. His shingling crew did a fantastic job and the house looks awesome. "I've used Steve and his crew twice before in the past, so I knew they would do quality work. After we had a giant bay window installed in our home, along with 9 replacement windows and two new construction windows, Steve's team came in to do the painting and staining of the trim and affected wall areas.
They did a great job, even under "special circumstances": my wife had a surprise birthday party for me scheduled in our home one week after they started (construction took longer than expected), and she was secretly trying to get Steve's team to rush to help make the place presentable in time. The bay window was a beast to get done, especially considering my wife decided she wanted the main shelf part stained instead of painted, and the construction crew had damage some of the wood in that area. They worked tirelessly to make it look great though, even putting in artful touches to make the damaged areas look like natural knots in the wood. I think in the end they did 5 or 6 coats of stain and poly on it to make it really gleam.
In the end they got all the visible areas done in time for the party, for which my wife was very grateful. And the work looks fabulous, as always. 
Quality Preferred Painting are my "go-to" team for any painting work we have done, and I'd hire them again in a second.

"The house was built in 1950 and I bought it less than a year ago. I don't think the exterior had been stained in over 20 years because the prep work took most of the old stain off down to the natural cedar shakes. Al and his team did a fantastic job not just prepping the house which was a big ordeal, but also replacing any cedar shakes and wood trim pieces that had rotted over the years. The attention to detail was greater than I expected and he was very flexible with my requests. Thank you Al!!!"
