This contractor does not provide quotes. He tells you that you need to tell him how much you're willing to pay for him to do the job. Never in my life have we met a contractor who does not make a bid; he came over here, tried upselling us on additional services, and then demanded that we provide him the specific amount we'd pay for this. I gave him a range that we could afford and told him that we do not have a hefty budget. He began prying into the reasons for painting the house ("are you trying to sell?") to gauge our urgency. He asked again for a specific number, to which we told him that we'd like to hear his bid. He shook our hands to leave. We would absolutely not recommend this person.

I cannot recommend Erivan DaSilva any more highly! He is the BEST contractor we have ever hired to work on our house! He is responsive. He returns and shows up when he says that he will. His workers are are extremely friendly and careful, diligent workers. I trusted them completely. Every day they cleaned up the entire site. The re-shingling, paint prep, and exterior painting work were meticulous. Erivan does not cut corners. He believes his work is his business card - he does excellent work because that is what creates additional jobs for him. The final thing that I would say is that Erivan's prices are phenomenal and his advice about scope of work is honest. I cannot recommend him more highly! Erivan did an excellent job once again! Our bathrooms look so beautiful, and this is because the prep work was so meticulous. And in addition to painting the walls, trim, and ceilings, we had an old leak in the ceiling of one of the bathroom and Erivan patched it so that you would never know it had been damaged. And as always he cleaned up at the end of every day.

We hired Erivan to paint the interior of our house. He offered several good suggestions. Our job required wallpaper removal and subsequent prep work. Within two weeks, the rooms were fully painted and look great. He kept the work area clean. Erivan and his team were a pleasure to work with

Erivan and his team were super responsive and responsible and great to work with. They did really high quality work for us, and I loved the result. They have been painting for years, and were referred to me from a friend who had them paint his historic Somerville home with many details. The team was always on time, and they were great problem solvers when things inevitably came up (we ran out of paint, for example). I was also impressed that they painted all the trim perfectly without painters tape :) Their work included doing some light spackling of wall cracks, and removal of shades before they started. Finally, they were super fast!

It went excellent. Showed up on time and completed the job in a timely manner. They were a pleasure to work with and I will be hiring them again the next time I need a paint job completed.

Very well. Erivan started the project on time and he was onsite throughout. He and his crew of two are skilled careful painters. Each day they arrived at 8 am and never left before 5 pm. They were respectful of my home and gardens. Cheerful and polite. Erivan helped me make some good decisions during the project. Best of all I’m very happy with the finished job.

Amazing! There were multiple spots in my home that needed paint touch up and caulking, including my showers that needed grout touch ups. Erivan and I spoke and within 5 days he was here and completed the job! He also touched up some areas on the spot as I pointed them out with no hesitation and explained what he was doing and why the entire time. Everything looks great and I highly recommend him!
