"Silva Express Painting has been my favorite contractor to work with on a project that requires contractors from plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry, masonry, flooring, and more. Chet and his team are professional, and deliver above and beyond. He is easy to communicate with, responsive, his pricing is fair — even when changes need to happen mid project unexpectedly (paint was peaking through despite multiple coats because of previous paint used). He kept to the schedule, arrived on time, provided updates along the way. The transformation he made in the spaces he painted are better than I could have imagined they’d be. I didn’t think some of the walls could be as smooth as he left them given the condition they were in to begin with. You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
Professional painters charge $20 to $50 per hour, on average.
