"Stuart and his daughter replaced my integrated sink with a new integrated one. I love my bone colored Corian counters and sink, so replacing them was not happening, Sink was leaking from cracks and many years of wear! He replaced it and you cannot tell that he cut out old and resurfaced seam! A true artist! They kept me informed of order, time of arrival. They also replaced garbage disposal! They were in and out. Kitchen was spotless when they left. Thrilled with my new sink!"

"Drew is meticulous with his craft. The tile in our bathroom shower was laid out with amazing precision, spacing the tile cuts perfectly symmetrical around the drain. He installed a double wide shower niche that coordinated with our floor tile. The wall tiles were cut and applied perfectly. We originally contracted to just replace our walk-in shower but were surprised that the old shower installation was done improperly and had caused severe water damage to the plywood subfloor that extended beyond the shower to the floor. We then contracted with him to replace the floor. The floor was installed with radiant heat wiring below and came out beautifully. Drew is professional and pleasant, maintained a clean and safe work site and kept us informed every step of the way. We are extremely pleased with the quality and beauty of our new shower and floor. We are happy to have found and hired a true craftsman."

"Carlos and his team worked quickly and efficiently to install 4 ft high lattice fencing around my vegetable garden. After it was installed I realized it was way too tall for my backyard ( my fault for niot realizing this in advance). They returned promptly and cut the fence down to 2 ft. ( at a reasonable cost). Now it is just perfect and I love it. The team was pleasant and easy to work with. I highly recommend this company!!"

"I needed someone to put two window AC units in place and Thiago has taken care of this for me for three seasons now. He is super and he has a person who helps him with the installation and removal of two units. He always reaches out to schedule time to do this for me and he always notifies me of his arrival time. He is professional, polite, efficient and caring."

"Pav's crew knew what they were doing and worked through some brutally hot weather every day to complete the job as promised. We have new siding and sliding doors installed. The price was fair and was the same at closing as it was in bidding. The workmanship and attention to detail continued through to the final cleanup. Excellent experience."

"Liam Neary is a total pro. He came in after a previous contractor had ripped out my kitchen and left me in the lurch, and from day one, he turned the whole experience around. I interviewed a lot of contractors, but Liam stood out immediately—he was the kindest, most honest, and most fair of the bunch. He installed my kitchen cabinets and absolutely nailed it. Every detail was done with care and precision. His timeline was quick, his prices were fair, and the quality of the work was top-notch. He showed up exactly when he said he would, kept me informed every step of the way, and made sure the job was done right—not just fast. Working with Liam was a breath of fresh air. He’s reliable, communicative, and genuinely cares about his work. I’d hire him again in a heartbeat—and if you’re lucky enough to book him, you’ll see why."

"Immediately following the excellent bathroom renovation this summer, a new proposal to update the living area of this 1960's dreary ranch house to a light-filled, refreshed space was agreed to. Adam successfully juggled other work projects in order to continue the work here right away. This phase of the updates included painted kitchen cabinets and tiling, exhaust fans, new heater covers, recessed lighting in all rooms, ceilings fans throughout, installation of a pocket door, refinishing wood floors, and the installation of built-ins for books and storage. The third phase of the work included the painting and updating to all three bedrooms. In all, Adam's work crews were here for the better part of three months. My sincere appreciation goes to Al for the new wood floor in the kitchen, Zach for his creative work on the getting the built-ins to fit, Carl for the nice refinishing job on the floors, Julian for assistance with all of the painting, Toby for his persistence in the lighting, the fans, the moving of heating sources, the plumbing and other electrical needs that constantly popped up, and last but not least, thank you to Carlo who was with this project from day one of the bathroom demolition to tiling the kitchen, putting in the pocket door, completing the tedious prep work needed for painting, painting, to the final week of getting every loose end finished beyond my satisfaction with a positive attitude and a smile on his face! Thank you, Adam for utilizing a group of workmen who are not only highly skilled at their craft but are people who are honest, respectful, cooperative with each other, and a pleasure to have in your home. Three months is a long time, but they and you made it doable and the results are beyond my wildest dreams - thank you all!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

There are several different products that allow underwater repair. Pool putty can help repair chips, cracks, and loose tiles without draining your pool, but it should only be used for a temporary fix. Certain two-part epoxy adhesives will cure underwater, too. That said, while it is technically possible to fix pool tiles underwater, it is usually not ideal, depending on the depth of your pool. You will still have to reach the tile, which means you might have to dive and make the repair while submerged.

Tile installation can be expensive because it requires more time and labor to install than many other materials. For example, laminate flooring can click and lock into place, and carpet comes in large rolls that you can secure to the floor. On the other hand, tiles need to be cut, laid individually, grouted, and left to cure.

Popular options include ceramic, porcelain, stone, and glass tiles, chosen based on the area (bathroom, kitchen) and desired aesthetic.

Yes, provided you aren’t installing drywall over it. But you can skim coat it, apply new tile right on top, paint it, or stencil it. For more budget- and DIY-friendly options, you can install beadboard or apply decals. Just make sure that the current tiles are in good condition and prepped well for the paint or adhesive to stick.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.
