"Claudio and his crew were very easy to work with - they arrived on time, did an excellent job laying out our tile and Claudio personally stands behind his company's work. If their attention to detail is always this good, I know we'll be hiring them again for additional house projects."

"Great! Keith and his crew were outstanding. We had a complete kitchen remodel planned and were impressed by Keith's knowledge, skills and professionalism. We asked if he was up to a complete remodel which included building a new master bedroom (by combining two bedrooms into one); a master bath, remodeling a powder room; remodeling a kitchen; adding built-ins and chair rails into a living room; and my personal favorite, remodeling a 70's style sunroom. Keith and his team tackled the project and we are completely satisfied. Although this project came with some headaches and "bumps in the road," we were impressed by Keith and his team of subcontractors to keep the job moving forward with as little disruption as possible. His plumber was one of the most conscientious and respectful plumbers we have ever used; the painter did an outstanding job; his hardwood floor installer/refinisher was top notch; and the carpenter was the absolute best we have ever had worked for us! This carpenter could and did do anything and everything! Old school: tiles, floors, doors, windows, slider, rough and finish carpentry: he did it all! At one point he stepped in and saved me by hanging pictures, curtain rods and a ton of miscellaneous items that my woman wanted done. Those finishing touches at the end, sealed the deal! Keith, Gerard, Jon, Felipe, Ken and the others, thank you. A+"

"Carlos and his team worked quickly and efficiently to install 4 ft high lattice fencing around my vegetable garden. After it was installed I realized it was way too tall for my backyard ( my fault for niot realizing this in advance). They returned promptly and cut the fence down to 2 ft. ( at a reasonable cost). Now it is just perfect and I love it. The team was pleasant and easy to work with. I highly recommend this company!!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

While tile is the best option in the bathtub, don’t forget to consider the flooring around the wash station. Moisture-holding carpet is a no-no, but is tile or vinyl better for dogs? Tile flooring is tough, moisture-resistant, cool, and scratch-proof. However, it’s more tricky to install and costs more than vinyl flooring. If you opt for vinyl, select tough luxury vinyl flooring; otherwise, canine claws could quickly damage the surface of standard, budget vinyl.

The rule tells you how to cut tile to install it in a corner. The 3/4/5 rule recommends that you should have 3 feet across on one straight line, four feet on the other perpendicular line, and 5 feet of length from the end of one of the lines to the other. You’re making a right triangle with the tile, and the hypotenuse (the line across from where the 3-foot lie and 4-foot line meet) should be 5 feet long.

Poured-in-place terrazzo flooring is more durable than tile. In fact, it’s one of the most durable types of flooring on the market. It can last anywhere from 40 to 100 years, depending on maintenance. On average, you can expect your terrazzo floor to last about 75 years, but you will have to make repairs as needed.

How long painted tiles last ultimately comes down to the quality of the paint job and how much wear and tear the tiles get. It’s possible the paint job will only last about six months if the tiles are in a high-traffic area and they weren’t properly cleaned, sanded, and primed prior to painting and sealing. Well-painted tiles in a low-traffic area should last at least a year.

Terracotta tile is a broad term for clay tile that’s been fired in a kiln, and Saltillo tile is a specific type of terracotta tile produced in Saltillo, Mexico. In addition to Saltillo, terracotta tile comes in a range of other shades and styles. You’ll often find it used in buildings throughout Mexico, southern Europe, and the western United States.
