They left gaps and installed small pieces of wood in the stairs instead of a sole step in each step section when I asked them to come and inspect the job the inspector started jumping in the stairs stating they were sturdy. Now that the season changes all the wood has expanded and compress and look awful $10K in the trash. Had to get another vendor to repair the problem. Empire doesn?t do the job they hired little mom?s and pop?s contractor to do the job

Due to franchising and licensing arrangements I was actually helped by Luna - Empire's partner, and the installation was done by a third company working under the Empire/Luna umbrella - was a bit confusing at times but they made everything work and I am very satisfied with the new carpet.

Pretty easy Install and they were fast. The product itself is why I rated lower. The flooring was supposed to hold up against scratches etc and it definitely does not. Disappointing.

Horrible installer. Has no idea how to put it in flooring. While I am working with their customer service they need to redo the entire job and I have already had the plumber and painter out. Hoping we can come to terms with how the job will be corrected.

In the end. Customer service is just poor. I was told that they could remove the old floor before installing it. But they could not. The job went well after that but caught the installer trying to cut a corner (that he fixed upon pointing it out). What I came away with was a slick sales job, ok install, but a big box feel interested in collecting all the money upfront without living up to their commitments. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

They did not even show up today, I waited all day. Then I called up Empire and they said the job is completed. It is most definitely not completed, the carpet installer never showed up, never called but they took my money and I already paid in full. I got on the phone with Empire they tried contacting the carpet installer.. cannot get a hold of him but then they tell me, oh yes the carpet has to be bound and that will take another week and that it might not be installed for up to 2 weeks now. What kind of company is this? They take the money then do not even show up when they said they would. I am calling my bank tomorrow to dispute this and I am calling the carpet guy.. Byron. Where is my carpet?

I did not like the job timing. The workers showed up on a Friday at 6:00 P.M. to start the job of removing the old floor. The returned Saturday morning to complete the installation of the new floor. Although it was an excellent job done with very good materials I did not appreciate it taking two days instead of the one day promised by the salesman. Also you have to pay for the warranty, in reality Empire does not warranty anything. The workers did do a professional job in every respect Empire should limit their work load so they don't arrive so late to start a job.
